O.K...here we go...

with 600 miles at high RPM's, Who's gonna blow engines?

My guess is if the Hendrick cars pull away like they have been over the past few weeks, they will go first. something has to give in that amount of time..

Second to blow? Hmmm.....any toyota that makes the race tongue.gif

JJ has won like three 600's in a row and last year the CNC/HAAS cars both had career best finishes using Hendrick engines. I really don't know what you guys are talking about saying their engines can't last 600 miles.

Look at it from the perspective of how engines usually blow up. They get stronger and stronger as the race goes, then BOOM!! Usually this is from engine set-up where there is somehow just a tad bit more compression or somehow more HP is getting pushed out, which over the course of the race will take it's toll. Just before the engine goes, the engine is running at it's strongest

Case in point...Greg Biffle last year. Look at how many races he was leading and blowing the field away on the track and then the engine blew...

We'll see lots of cars lose engines, drop a cylinder, etc...

I'll stay with my prediction that if the Hendrick camp has engines that allow them to get a huge lead or push through traffic easilly and without any issues, they will have engine failure.

Busch on his own might get stupid and somehow push the limits of the car in some situation where he shouldn't put his nose and end up in a wall or taking someone out...

I'm with ya on that, for some reason I think the Hendrick teams might have some motor issues by the end. I have no real logic for that statement other than a gut feeling.

And I think the 17 will have a good race , too (which is probably the kiss of death).

As usual those suspect Hendrick engines just kept performing. grin.giftongue.giflaugh.gif 3 in the top 11 and no blow ups.

Actually, I can't ever remember a 600 with less engine trouble as a whole... just a couple cars with engine issues.
