lookincalifornia
i guess i'm just old school. i agree with the who's in the crowd shots. i guess you gotta blame the showtime lakers for starting all that. horry's hip check was kinda cheap, but just a heat of the moment thing. i gotta think that most guys that have played on some level have done something out of the heat of passion that they wouldn't normally do. i remember clearing a rebound into a guy's jaw "accidentally" and that was totally not me. just tired of getting our butts kicked.i'm all for stars, and even lebron. it's not his fault that his team is not as stacked as the spurs, but if i wanna see a one man team, i can go the the YMCA. now that being said, i am happy for cleveland. all those good teams were playing when the east was the domminant league. people forget how good they were, it's just that they had to get by the celtics, hawks, pistons, bulls, and nicks. west was mostly just the lakers back then. ozzie
i like college b-ball more than the NBA also......I llike to watch a good team play good b-ball...but when you have a talent like Lebron that can do so many things that make your jaw drop it just reminds me of MJ and I guess I was to young to appreciate the ability he had and the things he did at the time.....now Lebron is starting to show his true ability and I am starting to watch the NBA again!!!! GO CAVS>>>>>>booooooooo to Eva Longoria's Spurs!!!!

Mudcutter
don't even try to compare Lebron to MJ on the defensive end. and that's half the game. MJ was ALL-DEF how many years??? Head to Head- Lebron would get his points agst Jordan, but Jordan would school him on the other end. I absoultely hate the comparsions betweent Lebron and Jordan-- it's a joke. James is not even the best player currently, that goes to Kobe. and everybody knew that Jordan was better than Dominique Wilkins. that's who Lebron is like-- Wilkins--- great offensive-- but avg def and schooled by MJ.LEbron is only 22 and should improve and MJ didn't win his first title till much later.... still KING JAMES couldn't hold MJ's jockstrap.start the comparsions in 5 years. then I'll listen with a unprejudice ear. Mudcutter
nobody liks to watch the spurs??? REally?? I like watching champs more than chumps anyday. Call me old fashioned, but good olde D and sound OFF and a true TEAM grab my attention everyday. The Spurs are a coaches dream to put on a clinic for kids. Sacrifice, pass, assists, rebound, and then score. That beats a one man show every time.
maros91
Quote: James is not even the best player currently, that goes to Kobe. I disagree. I think Steve Nash is currently the best player. I think the best player makes his teammates better. Kobe has made no one better except for Lamar Odom's rebounding stats. Everyone on the Suns roster is better because of Steve Nash. Just my point of view. I think James is doing pretty good for the roster he has. There is absolutely nobody on that roster and he took his team to the finals. Granted it was in the East but the Pistons had an excellent team and James pretty much beat them by himself. Kobe doesn't have anyone either is swinging the clubs somewhere. I just don't like Kobe Bryant. Anyway, there will never be another MJ but Lebron will be the closest to him.
Scott M
I don't care for Kobe as a person or a teammate, but I gotta agree he's the best player. This is like the MVP discussion, it depends on how you define it. Biff thinks its Nash because he makes his teammates better. By that defintion, he would be correct. If it's overall game, I think Kobe is the pick.Well, I'm about to watch the Spurs try to finish another game with the Cavs. Team versus individual ball. I'd like the Cavs to at least make a whimper. I mean, can LeBron shoot 4-16 again? Western Finals might have been the closest thing to seeing who the real champion would be.
ozzie
I never said one thing that mentioned James and his D....MJ was shut-down when it came to D......Lebron has a ways to go..
RodNGun
How can you be a King without a Ring? Why dodn't they call him prince? Thats one of the reasons I don't like James. They hyped him up so much I thought dude was going to be great. When I went to go see him play the Wolves his rookie season he scored like 14 points and walked half the game. Granted thats when we had Spreewell and Cassell so maybe they didn't want him to go hard but still. I watched him play in person and wasn't impressed. I was more impressed watching Carmello Anthony at game 5 in 04'.I hope the Spurs take it in 4 games and send James home crying.

lookincalifornia
i still like clevelands chances... to win game 4. if they can keep it close in the first half again, i think they can get it done once and then, it'll be over. i think i'm gonna be wrong about my ginobli mvp prediction, unless he goes nuts. ocf1
mvp for now tony parker. I hate the spurs and rather see the cavs win but its not gunna happen. Watch out for the jazz in the next 5 years, they have it goin on.

PierBridge
I disagree. I think Steve Nash is currently the best player. I don't think its arguable at all Nash should have won his 3rd MVP this year and is clearly the best player in the league. Then again what do I know I'd take Jeter over A-Rod all day including Sundays...
Flaco651
Who cares Flaco.... Lebron had no chance to make 3 free throws or about the same chance you had of catching a Flathead last night.... That spot has slowed considerably the last couple outings there. There were no runs for anyone in the group....including yourself. Friday and Saturday were good though on the MN. Riverhog upgraded both his channel & Flathead, and I upgraded my flat. As for the Playoffs/finals Cleveland never stood a chance.
