Talledaga Super Speedway This Weekend?

Well with all the Mickey controversy so far this season here is his chance to redeem himself. The Talladega Super-speedway is hosting the Aaron's 499 this Sunday so lets see if the Toyota-Napa Dream Machine will make the race. Mickey has had his best runs on the super-speedways in the past so maybe this will be the weekend he can participate in A nascar race. Mickey had made the first race of the season starting with the Daytona 500 and has since failed to make the last 7 races, one has to wonder how long NAPA and TOYOTA will stand for this? It was posted on another thread here that Mickey could be penalized $300,000 for every race he misses by NAPA? OUCH!!! We'll have to see what happens this weekend I guess.

Mikey's problem here is that his car time trialing alone on the superspeedways has never been good. He's a very good drafter and if he makes the race he'll do fine, but can he somehow find speed alone without putting jet fuel components into his intake manifold??? Doubtful...

I say no way Mikey makes the race, total agreement with above statement. Not to mention all those good runs were with DEI when at that time they seeemd to have a leg-up on the competition on superspeedways. Is this Jarrett's last championship provisional, or is he out, too?

is mikey really good on any track? the only place he has won in how many years was Daytona and that was with DEI . I did hear a very bold prediction on Sirius radio today that said mikey will not only make the race but win? seems like a huge leap to me but making the race will still be a big challenge for the toyotas.

Just making the race would be a win for him at this point.

If, and I mean IF, he makes the race this weekend, I wouldn't want to be one of the other cars around him during the race. Who knows how desperate he is and what he'll do to gain a position. Not to mention he may still have some lingering issues from his personal car wreck. Oh wait, that was a hangover.

Well he didn't make it suprise suprise. How can Napa sponsor a car that never makes a race. I guess they like the commercials with someone that is never in the game.

Actually the fact that Mikey never makes any races makes the commercial with Sammy Haagar telling him to "go faster" all that much more funnier.
