PikeBayCommanche
Anyone still wondering if the marriage and kid was going to affect his focus.
RobertELee
I thought that was a really classy thing he did by flying the #3 flag around the track, Congatulations Jeff.
ricbak
Jeff and Jimmy have there stuff together this year so far, not happy about this but oh well.
JohnMickish
I was going to bring that up as well. It wasn't all that long ago that many of us here said that Mr. Gordon didn't have the drive in him and that with the wife and kid on the way his focus would not be on racing. I'm just wondering if you guys still feel this way or maybe your starting to think this kid might have a little talent left in him>
Big Dave2
Although I am not a big JG fan, I will say that he has a TON of talent and it sure doesn't hurt that he seems to be racing for the best team in Nascar. He has a lot of racing left in him and will re-write a lot more records before he is done. Now that I am done saying that, I feel like I need a shower. Yes it was, and it was also a classy thing of Junebug to be the first guy there to congratulate Jeff in Victory Lane. And by the way, what a fun battle to watch with Jeff putting it on Stewart for the win... NAPAFISH
I was thinkin maybe it would have been better to wave a VA TECH flag instead, although it was already all over anyway.Just thought it would have been even more classy than a #3 flag
lawdog
Good Grief you are on a roll tonight NAPA. If he would have done that, you'd be on here complaining that he didn't pay enough respect to Dale.
RobertELee
I think they all had VT stickers on there cars didn't they?
Sutty
A lot of them did don't know if they all did (had stickers). Saw a few VT hats on after the race to. I thought is was pretty cool to watch him drive with the flag and was even cooler to watch Jr. congradulate him like he did. The best was he helped my meteoric rise from about 30th to about 12th or so! I know breaking my arm to pat myself on the back but I figure I need to spout off before I crash and burn 20 spots

Sifty
I think that Gordon was showing his respect for Dale Sr. by flying his flag. I think the kid really enjoyed having him around. They seem like good friends as well as competitors. Sifty
TNFL
Quote: Would you type differently if I had told you I had a relative involved?? No, I wouldn't. Because the fact is no matter what anyone from hendrick does you always nick pick and find some kind of fault. And what i'm talking about, is racing related stuff. Uncle Bill
I'm wondering if gordon legitimately beat the pace car out of the pits ?Could the timing of the pace car have been adjusted , to afford the #24 time to clear ?Also, Harvick noted during the race that johnson's car was so low it was dragging on the back stretch.Implying the hendricks car may once again be illegal. (too low)Surely, we must all be wondering.
fishonnopeoff
What about at the start of the race when Gordon had the "safety issue" never heard that one before.... Mr Gordon, when YOU are ready we will start the race.

LMITOUT
Geez, I cannot believe I'm going to stick up for JJ, but the truth is what it is.... A lower car on a downforce track does not help. You want the rear of the car to be as high as possible to get more rear grip. The only tracks you want the back end to be low is at the super speedways to get that spoiler out of the air stream. ...but, knowing the #48 team and the cheaters that they are, there is probably something different with the COT and lower is better on downforce tracks. Ahhh. feel better now.

Ahhh. feel better now. It was the front end that was dragging on JJ's car. The sparks were originating from the front end but you couldn't see them until they shot out the rear end. I guess from what little bit I know about it I thought that it is beneficial to have the front end as low as you can get it to go so that the air pushes up and over the car. If it were anyway illegal nascar official would have known right away because he was shooting sparks out the whole race.
LMITOUT
I see. I assumed he was talking about the rear if Harvick was looking at it from that viewpoint....
