Stoneman

Question

I have a trophy 170, older, about an 89. Seem I have a good leak I believe is in the live well pickup and or pump. If i leave boat in water over night I have boo coo water in boat. I have switched drain plugs in both the live well drain and bildge to no avail..... Live well pump works good but boat sinks...Is there a plunger of sorts that may be staying open in the pump???Tks guys

I agree. Leak test your boat. Sometimes on older aluminum boats the gaskets can go bad, or a rivot can even get loose or fall out. If you do this, you will at least know if it is the hull or something inside as you already described.

How about the fitting for your livewell pick-ups or drains - the silicone is old enough it could have cracked and pulled loose. Look for that or just reseal them. Good luck.

If you can't get it solved consider putting in an automatic bilge pump. Not expensive and good insurance.
