I'd recommend Life Of Riley Resort on Lake Vermilion.

Lots of good family times. The resort is located on a 2-1/2 mile long bay, and boat traffic is usually not an issue.

Nice beach, kids activities, boat rentals, dock service and fish cleaning included, pet friendly (I always bring my retrievers), great Lake Vermilion fishing (Walleyes, Sunnies, LM Bass, Smallies, Northerns, Muskies), there's also a weekly fishing seminar.

We've been travelling there from the St. Louis, MO. area since 1988. We'll be back up the first week of June.

Rock and Lee are great hosts, and want you to have a good time. They have a dining hall for meal plans or the occasional meal when you don't want to cook!

Check with them to see if they have a cabin to fit your needs in your time frame. If you get in touch tell them that Chris and Cindy Fox sent you along and that we say Hi!

Just run a search on the resort name, it'll pop up. If you want to know more e-mail me at the address in my signature.

Good luck, hope you find the place that's right for you!

Dude, check out Highbanks on Winnie. No kiddin, it's a great place.

Not only are they a sponsor of the site, Kim and Rick are rock solid groovy. They have a nice set up and are great people to stay with.

I'd also reccomend Winnibigoshish... But I'd go with either Williams Narrows, Bowen Lodge, or the Eagles Nest out of Cut Foot Sioux... That way if the weather gets rough, and Big Winnie turns into a nightmar of 5 foot rollers, you've got your home base back in the safe 2000 acres of Cut Foot Sioux to fish.

I have links but I don't know if they fly with site policy.
