The History channel had the real history of the 300 Spartans on last night. It was really interesting.

Yeah I saw that too and a different one they had on the next night. It was more about the acual events that took place during the Greece-Persian war.

Is this movie about the battle at the pass of Thermopylae? I read a book a couple of years ago about the Spartan civilization and it ended at this battle. The book by Steven Pressfield is titled "Gates of Hell" if your interested in this kind of stuff you should give it a read.

Forgot to mention; The book was written some time ago and is available at the library.

Finally got to catch it tonight...Excellent Flick ! Says a lot about fighting for your freedom...even against all odds. Now my wife wants to check out the history on the story.

Got to see it last Thurs. Very good movie. A good one to watch more than a few times.

Word of advice......don't bring the kids shocked.gif

Today I watched a movie called "The 300 Spartans". I didn't realize the movie was a remake. Special effects sure came a long way since that 60's original grin.gif
