koonie
Guidant? Are you talking about the gaurdian? If so I can't wait until our demo comes in. They make some of the best bows out there. IMO.

koonie
Get ready for a surprise. It's a strange looking beast. The limbs look wild when the bow is drawn. It supposedly shoot pretty nice. Our demo is supposed to be in any day so hopefully I'll do some "product testing" this week. I'm thinking about hanging my Switchback XT on the shelf with a for sale sign and using a Bowtech Tribute or Gaurdian this year. I really like the Tribute. Scoot
I've got two buddies who have Guardians and another who has a Commander (same bow as the Guardian but a little longer ATA). THESE ARE THE SWEETEST SHOOTING BOWS I'VE EVER SHOT, BAR NONE. I've always been a fan of longer ATA bows, so I'm pretty sure I'll be owning a Commander in the very near future. Knute78
I bought the Mathews Drenalin but the Bowtech Gaurdian made it a very tough choice. I'd defnately say that it is a very nice top end bow and worth the money, if you can afford it. Most bow companies these days make very nice shooting bows otherwise they wouldn't be in business. cliffy
Scoot:Its smoother than your Hoyt? I have heard good things about the new Bowtechs...just have not been able to get my hands on one yet.
Scoot
Cliffy,I like my Hoyt- I think it's a pretty smooth bow. It's relatively fast and very quiet. That being said, I shot the new Hoyt Vectrix and I think it's a LOT smoother with very, very little hand shock. After I shot the Vectrix I couldn't imagine a smoother, quieter, less hand shock bow. Then I shot the Guardian... Unbelievable.Scheels has a Guardian that you can go up and shoot. They also have the Vectrix and the Drenalin to compare against. IMO the Vectrix is a lot better shooting than the Drenalin (keep in mind I've liked some Mathews products, but never really fallen in love with them like many others have and like I did when I shot Hoyt and Bowtech), but the Guardian is nicer shooting than the Vectrix. I realize this is only my opinion and I'm not trying to state it as fact. Sportsman's Wharehouse has a Commander (same bow as the Guardian but longer) in, but I really don't think they have it tuned up very well. I've shot a Commander at the bowclub and it's unbelievable- maybe even a little nicer feeling than the Guardian (but I like long bows). That's my take on the whole deal. You gotta go shoot the Guardian...

Scoot
FYI- I was there over lunch today and they've got both the Commander and the Guardian in. If you prefer a longer bow, be sure to shoot the Commander as well as the Guardian. Also, the Guardian I've shot at the bowclub was tuned a little bit better than the one at Scheels and therefore shot nicer. The one at Scheels still shoots pretty darn sweet though. One thing I also did was have a Scheels fella shoot a couple arrows through the Vectrix, Guardian, and Drenalin to listen to them (I can't tell how loud a bow is very well when I actually shoot it). The Guardian was considerably quieter than the other two.

So, I will get over there yet today!!!!!
Scoot
Dang wives! Sometimes they just don't see the importance of time spent in hunting/fishing departments!!! I'm curious to hear what you think about it, so be sure to post your report once you've shot it.
lilman
I am running the Guardian right now and simply love it. I tagged on a Spot Hogg Hoggit 7 Pin, custom vapor trail strings and then the Vapor Trail Limb driver as a rest. Had the bow three weeks now and averaging 394/400 for leagues with it. Pretty dang happy. Got kinda lucky, originally I wasnt going to shoot the bow at all till after league was over, so its sat at Gander in the corner since january, not ever doing a thing to it. Finally I did the math on the league and realized there is no team that could end up beating my partner and I so I started to shoot, shes dialed in and ready to knock a couple turkeys heads off this spring.
