LwnmwnMan2
Anyone have any experience with these??I'm looking for either an MP3 player, or iPod, don't really care / know which one.I'm looking to burn CDs onto it that I currently own, then start purchasing music online. What I'm wondering is, is there anyone here that's got any input as to which service to go with??I'm leaning away from "Napster-to-go", since from what I've seen, is that you're just "renting" the music.Sure it's a cheap monthly price for unlimited music, but it looks like if you quit the "to-go" part of Napster, that you no longer have your music???From other things that I've seen about iTunes, is that people say it's difficult to use??Anyways, anyone here have any opinions??Thanks,Jeremy
0 ccarlson
I use I tunes at work as a storage and playback program for the many sample music CD's I need. I'm running a PC. I had been using the windows media player but it was not as user friendly. My daughter has an I pod nano so we also use I tunes at home on our pc and it works really well. The only downside is that AC/DC doesn't allow any of their songs to be on I tunes. Bummer man.We have friends that bought their kids other brand mp3 players and within a year, they bought them an I pod because of problems getting the other brands to work correctly with the music sites.ccarlson

0 PierBridge
I would suggest using I-Tunes to manage your music for all portable music players.

0 giddyup99
Go with either an Ipod or Microsoft Zune. Both are easy to use and you will never run out of accessories to add on to it. To me that is the biggest thing. The ipod had hundreds of accessories that are made specifically for it/them, and is the leader in the mp3 player market. Radios, car stereos, clothing, tv's, etc. will all be or have already come up with ways to integrate the Ipods into their products. The Zune has some nice features as well, and Bill Gates will make sure it stays a viable alternative to the Ipod.I have the 30gb Ipod and my wife has the Nano. No real learning curve to it at all. Very easy to transfer your CD collection to Itunes as well as burn CD's from it.
0 Whoaru99
Did you guys see the blurb from Apple warning about Windows Vista until Microsoft fixes some issue that affects iPods? Evidently using the "safely remove device" function in the system tray can corrupt the iPod's memory/files.
0 AaronM
Go with an IPod and ITunes. Until someone else can dominate the market like Apple has, stick with them.

Yeah I'm sure Microsoft is fixing the Mac/Apple problem as we speak... .....let me guess the Zune "junk" works good with Vista....
Question
LwnmwnMan2
Anyone have any experience with these??
I'm looking for either an MP3 player, or iPod, don't really care / know which one.
I'm looking to burn CDs onto it that I currently own, then start purchasing music online.
What I'm wondering is, is there anyone here that's got any input as to which service to go with??
I'm leaning away from "Napster-to-go", since from what I've seen, is that you're just "renting" the music.
Sure it's a cheap monthly price for unlimited music, but it looks like if you quit the "to-go" part of Napster, that you no longer have your music???
From other things that I've seen about iTunes, is that people say it's difficult to use??
Anyways, anyone here have any opinions??
Thanks,
Jeremy
