lots of luck

Recommended Posts

If you're a Bears fan I want to here your thoughts about the season so far and the remainder of the season and the duration of the playoffs.

Let's hear about the coaching? QB's? RB's? Special Teams? Anything Bears related please.

By the way if you have capabilities, check out the score 670 online some time for some Bears talk, good stuff.

Notice the hat, Tonka first week regular season, easy one to remember.

BEAR DOWN CHICAGO BEARS!!

I do like their chances in the playoffs on reaching the Super Bowl. I don't think there is a team that will beat us until we get to the Super Bowl. The NFC is weak and the flavor of the week changes each week, one week it is Dallas, then NY Giants, then the Saints, who knows who is next weeks.

I think that Grossman has snapped out of his little funk. We don't have to go for the homerun ball all the time and take the short passes (unless we need to get a first down at least go past the marker) and let the receivers get YAC yards.

As for the running game I am tired of watching Jones dance behind the line and with Dbacks. Drop your shoulder and run the little suckers over like Benson is doing. Which he does need to get more carries.

As for the Tank Johnson situation, I knew everyone in the media was jumping the gun, sorry about that one, and things would make more sense once the facts came out and more was added to the story. He is now suspended one game (Detroit) which the reason is conduct detrimental to the team, as Angelo told him to get his head out of his butt and get things sorted out. I feel this punishment is appropriate and they should not cut him. His guns are registered in Arizona and he can't get the Foid card and register in Illinois until 2008 when he is eligible for his Illinois license. He was told to stay away from his friend Possey, and well I hate to say it, now he will. He wrote a list of things he is going to change and gave it to managment, so I hope he sticks to it.

We do need to get healthier so the next 2 games we need to rest starters that are injured but continue to play the starters that are healthy just as Lovie says.

Right now I am concerned with our D as they have slipped a little IMO, and it is not the offense that I am worried about. Injuries have a little to do with it, so once we get a healthy Vasher back, Tank back and Todd Johnson we should be alright.

I hope others BEARS fans pipe in as well.

My prediction right now is a Bears Chargers Super Bowl.

BEAR DOWN!!

MAKE EVERY PLAY, CLEAR THE WAY TO VICTORY

Right with you guys. It's funny that all these "fans" of these great teams that are under .500 or so are picking apart the best team in football. Since they have nothing to cheer about their team, they criticize ours.

As Barry Switzer said, Just Win Baby! Right now they are the best team in the NFL. I ain't askeered of any NFC teams, though there are a few that could beat the Bears if Mr. Rex shows up to play instead of Dr. Grossman. Ole Rexy has played 6 games or more this year with a rating of 100 or more and his evil twin has played 4 games this year under 40, so I guess it boils down to a Tale of Two Rex's.

I like the defense right now, yea they gave up a ton of points against the Bucs but they have 5 starters out right now. They should get at least three of them back for the playoff run so that should help.

What is your prediction this week against the Lions, my friends?

I say 158 to 2 in favor of DAAAAAAA Bears! Of course I would change that to 158 to -3 if DAAAAAAAA Coach was still der!

Thanks for the replys guys. Those were very well thought out. I just keep asking myself "Is this real?" I just keep thinking about that the collapse of last seasons playoff game and Steve Smith lighting Peanut Tillman up all over the field. Hopefully they came away with the ending of last year seasons with some strategy on how they will approach the end of this regular season to prepare for the playoffs.

I keep thinking about how ugly this team wins, but they are winning.

Enjoy it while it lasts. The way the NFL is we could be bottom of the barrel next season, which would still make us competitive in the NFC North.

I'm not a Bears fan, but I keep thinking "they are sooo good, how can they not win it all"? I mean, it's pretty much in the bag, make the rings and start a new shuffle!

If you wish to hate please do it in the other Bears thread.:(

I was hoping to keep this one open for fans to converse about the squad, please keep the cheap shots to yourself.

Thank You

Oh lots o luck, my friend Windy has been sabotagging our threads for years... who says I don't secretely love the Bears and drool over them as much as you? I mean a head coach named LOVIE!! A D-lineman named TANK!! What more could you ask for? It's all in fun anyways, so relax and find your inner peace.

Merry X-mas! wink.gif

LOL,

Well, I tried like heck for 2 days not to join YOUR thread, but now I can't help myself.

Definition of "cheap shot" --- asking someone else to keep their cheap shots to themselves

Buzz,

"inner peace"??? you have such an eloquent way with words.

Now I'm gonna go start my own thread about the Packers.

Nyuk, nyuk.

Thanks for jacking my thread.

Anyways, the Bears looked flat against Detroit.

Nice to see Griese get a little playing time, he looked decent for someone sitting on the shelf all season.

As far as the Pack, how long would you keep the starters in? Do you play this one to win or just to keep players healthy?

Or do you take the attitude that it is a potential playoff team, cliche rival, division opponent and you try to bury them?

"my thread"? Cute.

Highly possessive of you there LOL.

Pack 31, Bears 10 ---- revenge for that opening season 26-0 shellacking.

PS to bury means they would have to score more than the other team - not gonna happen this time, methinks.

Why do so many of your posts seem negative? Sorry if we don't all follow and live for Viking football and Gopher sports. God forbid if anyone disagrees with you or a few of the others that troll the sports section non stop.

The quirky little shots and undertones don't add much to the forums either.

Whatever happened to dialogue and discussion, it has become comedy hour to see who can come up with the best one liner on all sports threads.

Hey fellas,

Yeah long time Bears fan here. I think we will be OK in the playoffs. New Orleans worries me some and Dallas did also at one point but now I don't think Dallas is all that and a bag of donuts.

I think the Bears are holding back somewhat the last 3 games not trying to show their hand for the playoffs. My bro back in Chi told me he heard an interview with Rivera who stated that they were trying different looks and etc. So that may be part of what ills the Def. The St Louis game they were in a prevent the whole last quarter and only rushing 3 Linemen which kinda allowed Bulger more time. Tampa worried me until I saw some of the game on NFL replay-- basically it was 2 sort passes that went for long YAC. I didn't see any of the Det game. I think the loss of Tommie Harris is cause for concern but if we get Todd and Tank Johnson back along with Vasher we are in better shape.

Crazy 8 hopefully will keep the turnovers to a minimum. We shall see.

If we make it to the SB beating the Bolts will be tough. It should be nice to at least make it there tho.

LOL,

Your statement quoted above has some validity but let me ask you this because your dismay at everyone confuses me.

This is not your first visit to this forum. What did you expect? Do you walk into a bar with a reputation for drunken rowdiness and then get upset you can't enjoy a peaceful drink? People did leave it alone for few days and it went nowhere. You are up to 4 legit posts about your Bears in 10 days. Maybe this was not the place for your discussion.

I am not trying to pile on but only point out the reality of the situation. Call it sad if you want, but really, you obviously expected it or you would not have gone to the trouble to try to minimize it in you initial post.

I for one think the Bears have done a great job of finding ways to win. Unfortunately, they will not be seeing the Cardinals or the Vikes in the playoffs which to me says the playoff teams will not make the mistakes that allow the Bears to find a way to win. Maybe one playoff victory, but definately not SB bound.

I had fun watching my beloved Vikings improve their high draft pick today, but I'm having WAY more fun watching the TRAINWRECK in Chicago!! shocked.gif I can't wait for the biggest letdown in recent Chicago history! Almost as big as the White Sox not even making the playoffs this year! shocked.gif They are going absolutely nowhere, no chance of winning the Super Bowl... any of you blind Bears fans want to bet??? hmmmmm, I'm waiting. smirk.gif

GROSSMAN IS DA MAN !!! shocked.gifblush.gif
