Racoons

For those that take some with your bows while out deer hunting, what do you do with them? I've had many an opportunity but never taken the shot because I'd have no use for them. But I've started thinking about a hat or something like that. Has anyone ever taken some in to the taxidermist or made something themselves?

skin em and sell the hides i think they run about 6-15 dollers (someone correct me if im wrong) but the price will depend on how prime they are and there size, you can also eat them to. they do alot of that down south i've had "coon stew" and it was actually preety tasty

Never shot one with the bow but I have had chances.Smoked coon is very good.I think it tastes alot like ham only it stays with you for a few hours.

Have had multiple coons and even a skunk directly under the deer stand this year. Have let them all walk because I have no use for them as well. Many people skin and sell the hides though. Don't think they are worth a whole lot though.

around 10 dollars, hardly worth shooting a clean broadhead at.

Ten dollars for the hide, less if you put a hole in the hide with your arrow. Take a head shot and then you wont ruin the hide

that is what i was thinking, wouldnt it wreck your broadhead shooting a coon in a tree.
