Non-Residents do They have to wait till the second week?

Do non-residents have to wait till the second week to Deer hunt with rifles or can They hunt the first week with residents?

This is Minnesota. The home of the "we let everyone hunt". First weekend is okay; not like the great Dakotas.

A license is valid on the second day after you purchase it.

If you buy your license on sunday it is not legal until tuesday morning. There is no time or number of hours, just remember the second day after buying.

A license bought before the opener is valid on opening day. A license bought during the season u have to wait a "Day". A day in the regs means midnight to midnight. So if u bought a license opening day, at anytime, it would not be valid until monday morning and so on. Hope this helps.

KPP is correct. Bonus permits are valid immediately only if your license is already valid. Best to get your license now. No point waiting in line next Friday night.

Only if you are from the Dakotas and you feel bad about making us wait for second weekend...

I don't mind waiting, especially during waterfowl season, I am from ND and the main flight and the big boys don't get down for 2-3 weeks after opener anyway...I say welcome to MN and hunt away
