What is your target fish?

Just wondering what most of the anglers out there are targeting when ice fishing. I mainly end up targeting Blue gill due to the abundance of them in farm ponds around NW Iowa. Really like to go for Walleyes and Crappie though. Have to travel about 45 min to get to an ok walleye lake though. So what do all of you mainly target?

Mostly panfish, occasional tip-ups for pike.

Walleye if they are biting, but crappie for sure. Nothing tastes better than an iced crappie!!

I'm a sucker for big perch & gills during the day and by night we set up and wait for eye's, those are the three I'm after most of the time

I like targeting gills through the ice, but I also spend a lot of time chasing crappies and catfish too. Can't go wrong with walleyes, perch, pike, and bass either... so I guess I like them all

I'd have to say I fish mostly for slabs. I don't mind an occasional Walleye though.

90% of the time I will chase walleyes, the rest of the time it will be crappies.

Pannies and crappie. Occationally, a tip-up for pike, but I'm going to try for other species on flags this year.

Usually in the west metro I'll target Crappies and occationally give the eyes some attention. Durring day time outings I'll target Gills and maybe if the mood strikes I'll toss out a tip up just to keep things interesting. Getting mentally prepaired already. It's Cold outside today!!!

My target is pork chops...in the can.

Other than that anything, as long as I have that pork, it is all good!

Mostly panfish. Sometimes northerns...sometimes northerns when fishing panfish.

I'm a pannie guy. Crappies and 'gills. But I do like to go after the 'eyes on occasion too.

anything that swims is ok in my book...but i would have to say panfish and northerns are the primary target. A wally is nice once in a while too.

80% Salmonids, i.e. trout, cisco, tullibee, etc.

15% Slab crappies

5% Walleyes
