I spent 2 hours on two phone lines and three computers trying to get tickets when they went on sale. I opted for the cheap seats (it gets expensive for four of us) and am in the rafters (section 237) but I'm not complaining. It's fun at the Dome and the kids will love having the afternoon off. I'm glad I still have vacation days left !

hsolist, never had any problems with getting them off that site and the people you get them from respond right away. I just didnt want to waste my time with the scalpers down by the dome, I can just imagine how much they will be asking the day of the game.

Hey Fisherman, didn't you say that the Sox underacheived last year? And you guys have been to the playoffs 4 of the last 5 years and couldn't even make it to the World Series? Talk about underacheiving!!!!

All you guys keep talkin smack about the Sox.....why? We're still the defending champs until somebody wins it this year.

Yes, but you are out of the running in that defense of the crown. That statement only meant something when you were in the race.

And keep talkin smack..........all the Twins have done was won the division. You guys almost got swept by the White Sox minor league system this past weekend.

I think I saw Luis Rodriquez, Alexi Cassilla, Lew Ford, amongst others get significant playing time also. Who didn't play their September call ups this weekend?

Quote:

And don't be too cocky..........excluding divisional foes, you guys have only won 2 series since the all star break against .500 teams.

Yes, but you forgot to mention that we only had a total of 4 series against .500+ teams after the break. Sounds not so bad that way. We were 14-8 after the break against the Sox and the Tigers (.636), which are really the ones that mattered. Also, we played about .645 since the break and were at .571 against .500+ teams since the break. I think we can feel pretty good about our squads 2nd half performance. Best in baseball if I am not mistaken.

great post fighyguy!!! nicely put

let him pout "boo hoo"!!!

I guess I would be upset too if I knew that even though my team was the world champion, they are still 2nd fiddle and the 2nd favorite team in chicago to the worst place team in the national league. (no offense cubs fans) I root for them too.

Congrats to the 3rd place, Chicago White sox

I find it funny how some people during the course of a season will basically say "we're great and you guys suck" and then when it's all said and done at the end of the season when they don't make the playoffs they say "we're better than that and you guys still suck". People like that pretty well define the meaning of "obtuse". smirk.gif

Anybody know the Twins pitching rotation of the first series? And congrats to your Twins. I'll be cheering for them in the playoffs. I listened to about 50 regular season Twins games this year so hopefully that gives me full postseason Twinkie bandwagon cheering rights. smile.gif

And a Twins-Tigers ALCS would be extra cool!

Is a 90 win season underacheiving? That's the 6th most wins in MLB this year. I don't think at any time a team is underacheiving with 90 wins in a division that is as tough as the central. I wouldn't call it underacheiving......I would call it disappointing. It's very difficult to repeat in baseball, as everyone has said. Every team was out to beat the Sox this year, as every team plays with a little extra fire against a defending champ. The AL Central is the toughest division, and it showed by the records...........8 teams are going to the playoffs, but unfortunately despite the 6th best record, the Sox are packing their bags. It would be nice to see a team from the central win it all this year. Take the flippin attention away from the overrated east and maybe the guys up from ESPN (eastern seaboard programming network) will talk about something other than the Yankee-Red Sox rivalry.

Wouldn't it be nice to see a Twins-White Sox LCS next year.

Good luck boys, but I don't think you guys have a chance. If Yo Han loses today, you're done-zie.

GO BIG FRANK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW>>>>>>>>>>>I never submitted this..............I wrote this much earlier today!!!!!

HA HA
