This is a very fun team to watch. So far they have won 4 games every possible way. They came back from 2 goals down, won a game in regulation, won a OT game and 2 shootouts they passed all the tests. Going 5-0 on this homestand would be huge for the team, and signing Lemaire is the best thing they could of done. I dont want to jinx it but I have a feeling this team is going to make it to the playoff's (still a ways away) and go very far....

I'm so pumped to see the excellent power play is back. Those guys are really moving it around and getting great shots. KJ almost had himself his first hat trick last night, DOOINNNGGG...

If they can step up the 5-5 skating they will be winning by 2 or 3 goals!

They did move the puck well on the PP. I was hoping one of Fosters slappers would find its way in. I know I'm getting older and slower, but it does appear everyone is flying out there.....or is it just me??

RePete,

That’s funny that you bring up how fast the game was last night. I was watching the Wild game but switching to the Pitts vs Ranger game during breaks on HD Net. The Ranger game looked like slow motion compared to the Wild game. I have to add that there is nothing like watching hockey in HD. Hockey was made for HD! You can see more of the ice with the wider picture, and the quality of the picture is amazing. Switching back and forth last night was almost depressing. I wish FSN would broadcast Gopher and Wild games in HD. I heard from a friend that he occasionally gets the Wild games on FSN HD but that’s only on Direct TV. My cable company doesn’t offer that channel.

Nice someone else that listens to 93x, I love listening to those guys in the morning.

The question on tonights game, can the Wild be the 2nd team since the 94-95 Penguins to start the season 7-0?? I think they will, this team has been so fun to watch this season and I hope they continue the great play.

For how good the team looks now, it will be awesome if they gel even further. I was really pleased with Mannys performance against LA. The Kings were pouring it on, and he was right with them. Can't wait for tonights game.

That would be great to see them break the record for most wins to start the season. I think they can do it but if they play the way they did against LA they will get crushed by the Sharks and Ducks! Hopefully they come together pretty quick on that top line. I know they are getting a lot of points, but there,s no chemistry there for the majority of the game. Rolston, White, and Butch... Now there's chemistry!

Didn't happen last night, still 6-1 to start the season is still very good. Now I heard Gaborik re-injured himself?? They said in the paper it's a mild strain in the groin again, that can't be good. They have a tough game tonight and I have a feeling Backstrom will be between the pipes tonight giving Manny the night off..

I know it’s like I’m spitt’n on the golden calf here, but I would rather see Gabby out then Walz. Of course having them both in the line-up is SWEET. As I stated earlier in this post, Rolston, White, and Buch have great chemistry! Which Wild line is the #1 line anyhow?

This must have been a great game to watch - sadly I am at work and could only get internet updates. But I see in the boxscore and the Startribune coverage that Boogie Man cleaned somebody's clock. I know, fighting is a bad part of the game but I don't care - I love it. Always have and always will. What a team.

Yeah baby what a game and they are for real. The Boogeyman did clean someone's clock last night. They said in the paper that the guy he fought was rushed to the hospital, he hit his cheek so hard it caved in the side of his face. One of the wild defenseman said it was the most disgusting thing he has even seeing. Maybe now people will realize dont mess with him.

    • Truly sorry to hear that duffman! I know that feeling.  Keep the good memories
    • Chamois passed away this weekend a couple days short of her 13th bday. What a great dog to hang out with here at home and on distant adventures. Gonna miss ya big time my little big girl.
    • Sounds pretty sweet, alright. I will check them out, thanks.
    • If you really want to treat your wife (and yourself) with a remote operated trolling motor, the Minn Kota Ulterra is about easy as it gets.  Auto stow and deploy is pretty awesome.  You just have to turn the motor on when you go out and that the last time you have to touch it.   24V 80lb.  60 inch shaft is probably the right length for your boat.  They ain’t cheap - about $3k - but neither one of you would have to leave your seat to use it all day.
    • Wanderer, thanks for your reply. I do intend for it to be 24 volt, with a thrust of 70-80. Spot lock is a must (my wife is looking forward to not being the anchor person any more).  With my old boat we did quite a lot of pulling shad raps and hot n tots, using the trolling motor. Unlikely that we will fish in whitecaps, did plenty of that when I was younger. I also need a wireless remote, not going back to a foot pedal. We do a fair amount of bobber fishing. I don't think I will bother with a depth finder on the trolling motor. I am leaning toward moving my Garmin depth finder from my old boat to the new one, just because I am so used to it and it works well for me. I am 70 years old and kinda set in my ways...
    • Dang, new content and now answers.   First, congrats on the new boat!   My recommendation is to get the most thrust you can in 24V, assuming a boat that size isn’t running 36V.  80 might be tops?  I’m partial to MinnKota.     How do you plan to use the trolling motor is an important question too.     All weather or just nice weather?   Casting a lot or bait dragging?   Bobber or panfish fishing?   Spot lock?  Networked with depth finders?  What brand of depth finders?
    • We have bought a new boat, which we will be picking up this spring. It is an Alumacraft Competitor 165 sport with a 90 horse Yamaha motor. I will be buying and installing a trolling motor,  wondering if I can get some recommendations on what pound thrust I will want for this boat?  Also, I will be selling my old boat, is there a good way to determine the value on an older boat ( mid-80's with a 75 horse 2-stroke  Mariner motor)  I will appreciate any help with these questions.
