carpshooterdeluxe
finally they have changed the western goose zone regulations! 2 birds a day with a 60 day season, including the west central zone around lqp wma. looks like there wont be any excuse for the goose decoys to gather dust between the early and late seasons now! Rost
Yes, the boys back home are excited! The 1 goose limit last year was rediculous. Carpshooter-are you from w. Mn?
Eric Wettschreck
I'm excited. I may actually use goose decoys while duck hunting this year.
Lund 95
Yeah it will be nice to actually shoot our guns more than once when a flock comes in. It used to be more work than it was worth when it was only one goose, but maybe not this year. I can't wait for early season since i missed the last two. so haaad
Yes!!! I'm definitely excited about the 60 day season. I've been emailing Dave Schad and the DNR about this very issue over the last few years. Maybe they realized the November geese were not just the "EPP" strain. Fish'n guy
I am really excited about the 2 bird daily limit in the West Central zone! I have always hated to put out a trailer full of fullbodies just for one goose, but now it is more worth the effort. I know for afact the out of the several birds that we killed last year only a few of witch were EPP's. Many birds over 10lbs with longer beaks and necks. I gotta say I sure do love those short fat little EPP's for the smoker though! It is definately going to be a great year for the duck and geese if the cold air moves down when it's supposed to.
