Brickyard Finish

Whats the rule on when they have a green white checker and go to overtime? I thought they would have done that today?? It wasn't like Johnson was at risk of being caught but it's not like he was at the finish line either he still had a ways to go.

It was the final lap. Checkers and yellow displayed at the same time. Race over.

Mr. Roboto got all of his laps back earlier so NASCAR didn't feel the need to call another cheap caution so he could get another 'lucky dog'..... smirk.gif

I liked Jr. comment after Gordon had said that Jr. car was terrible all day and kind of critized the #8 team's move at the end. Jr. "Maybe he should have done the same thing since he had a better car than me" I loved that it cracked me up a good one.

Really can't fault him though good points move for sure. Plus I though that Jr was pretty good about getting out of the way for the cars that were faster than him he knew his car wasn't that good. When Jimmy and Matt need to pass he just slid out of the way and let them around. Nice clean racing I thought.

No, he never caused that one if your talking about the Kahne accident. Kahne was underneath of Stewart and Edwards was VERY close to his back bumper. Appears that the air came off of Kahne and he went for a ride. Stewart never touched him but Edwards on the other hand is a tough call. Video didn't show anything but he was very close.

Robbie Gordon claimed that Riggs tapped him going into the corner which made him push into the side of Biffle.

Man, what a vicious hit Kahne had too! Holy smokes that looked like it woulda hurt! Oddly enough, it looked worse than the crash that killed Dale Sr., but Kahne got out and walked away before emergency vehicles even arrived.
