Trolling Speed?

What is everyone's favorite trolling speed while using crank's and for bottom bouncers/spinners?

Cranks and sticks I seem to do best at 1.8-2.5 mph. Depending on depth, current, bottom bouncer size and blades size I pull them .8 to 1.4 mph. I have at times trolled flats at up to 1.6 with spinners and had fish take them but a all around best speed would have to be about 1.2 I guess. I troll big blades though.

I'm with Northlander for the most part but often times, especially this time of year, I'll take the crank speed all the way up to 3.5 mph.

yep. dito. 3- 3.5 this time of year and let your rod tip drop back now and then to let your crankbait stop and go.

Same for me. I do tons of speed trolling this time of year. Have for many years and find 3-3.5 the best. Sometimes even faster but never slower than 3.

We had alot of success this past weekend trolling #5 shadraps between 2.5 and 2.8 mph.

Caught all my fish at 2.5 mph tonight. Even nailed a 20 plus inch smallie on a hot n tot at 2.7 mph. Not on purpoes though the wind had me.

What depth are you usually at? Weedlines?

For the life of me, I can not get a Hot'N'Tot to run right at speeds even close to 2mph. I have around 10 of them and not one will troll. I've given up!

I've had problems getting the hot n tot to run true also. Especially at higher speeds. Using a leader or a swivel usually screws up any plug. Tie your line directly to the plug.
