Silva bites again. This guy has middle reliever written all over him. Forget about trying to get Soriano. We need to find us a 4th starter. If we can't find a guy in trade bring Garza up and give the guy a chance.

After Silva's performance I definately am coming around to your side of things Buzzsaw.

Interesting note. Before Neshek's last batter they said opposing batters were 1-24 against him. With the 3rd out make it 1-25 with only 2 walks. I may go on the untouchable list as well as he is pretty much a shut down middle reliever.

Morneau just picks up his 3rd hit, all against left handed pitching. Just playing awesome.

I think if they bring Garza up they should do it after the detroit series. Liriano Radke and Santana pitch against the tigers so you could bring in Garza to srat against the Texas for his first game, then his next game would be against KC and then Toronto after that. That way you give him 3 starts against teams that are either down like KC or atleast not in your division like Toronto and texas. So when you need him to face CWS and DET he has some starts under his belt and he knows what its all about up here.

The more I'm thinking about this the more I'm coming to your side. I say we give Silva 1 more start and then bring up Garza. This isn't so much to see if Silva can make it, but more to give Garza 1 more start at AAA before bringing him up. I'm going to compare this situation with the White Sox last year. Granted Contreras pitched great down the stretch last year, but if it weren't for McCarthy being in the rotation last year towards the end the Sox would have probably finished second to the Tribe. I realize McCarthy has a bit more minor league experience than Garza, but I believe at this point Garza is worth a chance to see if he is what we need at the #4 spot to give our staff the solidification it needs at the bottom of the rotation.
