cholmes
Hey guys and gals:I am an outdoor writer from south Louisiana and I'm currently writing an article about fishing and hunting related tattoos. I am compiling stories/photos of tattoos from sportsmen all across the country. I have what I think is a pretty cool one myself and have received info on many others. If you, or any one you know has a fishing or hunting related tattoo, I'd love to talk to them for possible inclusion in the article. Please contact me by e-mail at: [email protected]Thanks, Chris. DTro
Sounds like a fun subject. I don't have any tatoos, but if I did, it probably would have something to do with fishing.
sdstate
Hey would u mind putting a few examples of your art??? I have been thinking of getting a wildlife related tattoo for some time now but have not seen any real good ones yet. I do like the ones of the Eurpean deer mounts, they look pretty cool. I would like to see one of a pheasant flying to, that would be cool, so if anyone else have good examples it would be cool to see some.
rushing
I have a couple of tribal fish. Not really fishing related so much except it was kinda my little sacrifice to the fish gods to insure a good catch!

DTro
This is so funny, lol. This post got me looking around for a catfish tatoo and stumbled upon a forum with the same guy asking the same question and a reply with one of the coolest tattoos ever: and the bait: of course, with my biceps, I would end up with a bullhead and a guppy
Bobb-o
in the beginnging of September I am planning on going in and getting the original Rapala on my right shoulder. Not sure if that counts or not.
RobertELee
When I was in college a friend got the Browning logo tattood on his arm. Looked pretty nice but it was like he was a walking billboard. When you get this published could you possibly post it. It sounds like a pretty cool subject. jwhjr
Here's mine. I got it as a memorial for my father as my fondest memories were of hunting and fishing with him. The picture would post very large, but if you click on the thumbnail you can see a mid-sized version.

SCUMFROG
Tats are very addicting, I've got 7, but 2 of them are cover-ups. I have a good friend that owns a shop in St. Paul. The way I see it it's going to be there for the rest of your life make it a good one. Mine are of my 2 kids names one on each shoulder, a Celtic knot (cover-up), a very large dragon (cover-up) and my favorite and newest one is for my mom that passed away 10 years ago from cancer. I own all of them. Meaning they are my design and you'll never see them on any one else.
jwhjr
Your friend that owns the shop wouldn't happen to be named Randall would he?
SCUMFROG
Yes that's him. You know him also... I've known him for about 11 years. He does some really nice work.
jwhjr
I don't know him personally, but he's the one that did the tattoo a couple of months ago that I posted here. He did an awesome job, I'll definitely be going back to him for the next one as well. Let him know his work is being posted .
Zzapp
Hi Chris I've thought long and hard about what image I would get when (if ) I finally decide to get inked. I came to the conclusion that if I wer to get tattooed, it should be practical. Therefore, I'm planning for full body camouflage. By the time I'm finished with it, you won't be able to see me in my coffin! Todd

WOW That is way cool! My dad passed away last August and I never thought of something like that. Mine would have to be a Wood Duck though. I am seriously thinking of getting that done for the exact reasons that you mention! Take care and N Joy the Hunt

Mike Walerak
Here's mine. I just got it a few months ago and I have not been in to touch it up yet. I had my sister-in-law draw it for me. mw
icehousebob
My #3 son got a large outline of the Browning white-tail buck emblem on his shoulder. His mother believed him that it was a temperary one(he can convince her of anything) but after a month, she realized it was permanent.

jwhjr
Quote: jwhjr What do you plan on getting next? I haven't decided yet(where or what), but I do know it will be something with my kids in it. They are addicting, the one Randall did was my third (first with him). It's my wife's turn to get her next tattoo so it will probably be a little while before my next one, I have to save up the cash too .
