im looking for a lake in minnesota(or even canada) that you can catch walleye and bass in plentiful, with a campsite on an island.

that only narrows it down to about 5,000. boundry waters is full of them.

My vote is for Kabetogama, Namakan, or Rainy. Nice campsites and you can use your big boat. Plenty of information on the Kab/Nam forums.

Vermillion. You can check many of my postes related to vermillion. If is an Island you desire you can stay as Ludlows. 2-5k a week depending on what unit you stay at

Just kidding! Good luck and I hope ya find that elusive ideal campsite! I gave you one option on your other post, but another would be Whiteface resevoir. Not much for bass, but good numbers of walleyes and Northern!

Also, many nice campsites on islands!

another great place is crane/sandpoint lakes. I launch in crane and boat 15 miles north to sandpoint to camp. also some good sauger fishing.

ocf, you've asked so many questions of this ambiguous type.

Before I go any farther be aware I don't mean to belittle you if your sincere with your questions. I suggest you first ask your queries in a regional forum in which you prefer to travel. That'll eliminate quite a bit of territory and possibly get your quest down to one country. Better yet lets start with a lake. From there you can get a lake report along with patterns and techniques that are working on that lake. Since your after eyes you could also visit the Walleye forum and pick up a few tips on locating eyes and best seasonal patterns and locations for walleyes.

I would suggest Rainy... I would invest in a GPS unit with the chip if you have never fished it before though... many prop killers in that lake.
