Flourocarbon question.

Does anyone else have an problems with the line getting cut down deeper in the reel? Its not breaking on a hookset or antyhing, after I use fresh line for awhile sometimes i just notice the line is cut a few yards down into the spool.

If you are using a baitcaster than I wouildn't know but I have never noticed it on any of my spinning reels.

whats a good flourocarbon line to use with PP? gonna try using it as a leader to see if it makes a big diff. I got 10# pp on my senko rod and the other two i got 30# pp so does that mean i need the same for the florocarbon to prevent breakage ?

its not cheep, but many people who have tried the Gamma florocarbon have been quite impressed with it.. I am one of them.

I've noticed that when I toss a light rig ( like a 3/8th worm rig) with a bait-caster there is not alot of tension on the line when you work it in. This causes the line to lay on the spool a little more loosely. Then when you make a hook-set, you can bury the line a couple of layers deep alot easier than if you where tossing a crank or c-rig. This happens on both carbon and mono lines.

i have this problem too! i have started to kind of thumb the spool as i reel. this helps keep a little tension on the line, and not as many problems.

I'm using Seagar(sp?) flourocarbon, its tough as nails, I think Agape got it right that if it is loose in there and lays sideways on your spool I wonder if a hookset doesn't cut the line.
