New 'senko' like bait... HOT!

First of all.. what DO we call 'senko like' baits? I thought they were called 'stickbaits' but then I read that this refers to a type of crankbait...

Anyway... I have tried many types of 'senko' like worms.. senkos are REALLY nice.. but they don't last very long and are SO expensive.. and we get a great deal on 'Comidas' which I have not tried very much yet.. but the last 2 outings I have amazing success on the new "slurpie" senko lures... this style in particulular!

They are called "Slurpie Dip-Stick Worms" from Northland... and this red tipped green style seemed especially good! Very soft and lifelike yet they lasted for a good number of fish. Worked better than my regular single colored plastics. Anyone tried these? I just ordered 96 more from bass pro shops!

Northland Tackle has always put out a good quality product. I use a lot of thier products. The Jungle jig for one!... I would be willing to bet their plastics are none different!

I still am and will always be a Mr.Twister guy! For me the Comida is still #1!

I agree Deitz.. the Comidas are really really nice... but I wish the Comidas came in more colors.. especially in multiple colors (red tips...)

I have to admit I have many hundreds of the comidas in my 'bank' ready to hit the water... I will be comparing these with the new Slurpies. I'll let you know what I find.

By the way.. why can't I post a picture of my current favorite lure?

Nevermind!.. I re-read the rules and I guess non-sponser products can't have pics posted here.. smile.gif ok.. but anyway.. it is just like a 'senko'.. it is dark GREEN and flecked.. with a 1/2" blood red tip on one end! Unique!

If the red tips are something that seems to be working for you, and you currently have a good stock pile of plastics already, do a search for dip-n-glo on the internet.

There are a lot of colors to choose from that you can dip your plastics in to get a little color change to your favorite plastics. (Make red tips on your inventory of Comidas you have today)

That way you dont have to go out and buy all new stuff just to get a slight color change.

Just an option to look into.

Thats great to know Big! I'll be looking into that.. because your right.. I do have a HUGE stash of plastics bought over the last long winter (mostly comidas).. and I might want to play with the colors!

Hmmm, I saw the slurpies on many of the Gander end caps. Looks interseting but I did not "bite" on the new gizmo. I know Deitz has his number one as the comida and I am a die hard Senko guy.

Keep the reports on the slurpies coming. I just might break down an try one. The issue I have is I already have a lifetime supply of Mr. Senko in every color know to man so if I turn over a new leaf I will have a Senko garage sale to recoup some of my investment.

I watched the little video and enjoyed the marketing of "Sow Sauce" that they add to make the slurpie irrestible. I should have bought a pack just because the video made me smile. Sow Sauce....Thats a good one

I'd agree, the one with the red tip looked somewhat promising. But, I just wasn't impressed with their color selection; no black w/blue, no pumpkinseed, no white??? Also, I'm not sure on the whole "sow sauce" thing. In the video, they show that they just use a normal spray bottle to apply the scent to a large batch; so I'd imagine that the scent wouldn't last that long. But it's worth a try.

-About the dip-n-glo: I've used some in the past, and it seemed like 50% of the lures I tried it on broke down and fell apart. Anyone else had that problem?

I have yet to try, or actually consider, the Slurpie "version." I have been true to buying senkos but am getting annoyed with going through so many, and constantly adjusting/repositioning the bait. I used some Comidas side by side with Senkos over Bass Opener and caught just as many fish, with the Comidas lasting twice as long. One thing the Comidas accomplished is having a lot of weight, prior attempts from other brands fell short of this. I will absolutely use more Comidas; to be fair I'll try Slurpies too.

Slyster, stick with the comidas. I've had so much success with them this season that I haven't opened a senko bag yet.

I might have to try the dip-n-glow tip, sounds good.
