One of my favorite pictures is of my 6 year old son (some years ago) holding a very nice bass we caught while out fishing for sunnies with a worm and bobber. It was May, definetely not bass season yet - and I proudly unhooked the fish - had him hold it for all of 10 seconds while I snapped a picture and released it back. The picture sits on the main shelf in my living room - and I enjoy seing it every day. I have never thought twice about if this fish was caught out of season etc...because we werent doing anything wrong -we werent targeting that fish - just like you werent targeting that walleye. We enjoy the picture - and that is what you should do too!!

First of all, congratulations on a great catch!

I just thought I would post a link to another thread about taking pictures of "out of season fish": http://www.fishingminnesota.com/forum/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=766878&page=&view=&sb=5&o=&fpart=1&vc=1. I posted a picture in another forum of a bass that I caught while crappie fishing a few weeks ago and I was pointed to this thread and warned to remove my bass picture. frown.gif

Nice fish. And don't worry about it...some of these guys are just jealeous. If you read the regs...it is very unclear whether snapping a pic is forbidden or not. They havn't come knockin yet. shocked.gifsmirk.gif
