While sturgeon on the river would be fun, we are limited to waders and a canoe... we may have stumbled upon a new extream sport; sturgeon skiing.

North Shore young man. With the rain we are getting now it should be good in a day or two. Loopers and Coho along with some Steelies being caught now.

Just talked to a reliable source in SE MN and he said the water is high on the Root. I'd opt for the north shore.

Looks like the north shore has the edge so far. If we didn't come up to chase stealies it would be first spring in many years that we havn't done the ole chuck-n-duck on those beautiful rivers.

Are there any little panfish lakes in the splitrock area? We would be using a canoe so access isn't a problem... perhaps one of you boys would be interested in a sort of honey hole exchange program
