big walleye still to be had!!

the water started flowing just a bit on the red river of the north..opening up a small window, of great fishing !!went out for a few hour yesterday ,picked up three real nice ones,and about ten other smaller ones

yes those are the famous greenbacks!!just using a 3/8 whistler jig and a salted shiner..

All I can say is that is is well worth the drive. You might only catch a hand full of fish somedays but the odds of it being a hog are much better.

You can bring 4 back from the Red River... different bodies of water have different regulations, coupled with the two different licenses... the regular (which normally allows you 6 walleyes) and the conservation license (which allows you 4 walleye). However, on the Red River you're only allowed 4.
