Maybe now Nascar will realize that a penalty for the crew chief does not penalize the team.You cheat,get caught and then win the race.You know that more than just Knaus knew about the illegal stuff on the car.

I like JJ but I didn't want to see them win after getting caught cheating again. Shows ya that he wasn't penalized at all.

Wouldn't it be more of a "Team" punishment for cheating if they did something like ban Knaus from all team activities for like 4 weeks. That includes working in the shop, calling team members, any decision making, period? It might not hurt them right away, but after the 4 weeks was up they would be doing much more catch-up the rest of the season (from preparation, planning, etc...)

He could have been calling the shots for sure but his right hand man, being the team engineer and all isn't that bad of a guy to have next in line. I'm sure Chad has taught him well.

All teams have there own ways of cheating, same thing was found on J. Gordons car last Sunday and he got away with it because he was in the big picture during Sundays Qualifing runs, the camera was really on his car during inspection. Nascar sent his car back three time because of violations, all Hendrick's cars were then put thru a gruling post inspection looking for the same thing and the found the same thing on JJ's car.

That is funny look and see how many times 48 has been fined last couple year for failing tech inspection after a race.

Might be why NASCAR tried to make an example. (not successful)

Um they had it on TV for eveyone to see. They sent him out of tech because of illegal weighting. They pulled his car out of tech made them fix it. It was at the last tech station. They would not let him clear tech until he fixed it.

This was before he ran his time.

Readjusting the weight screws is nothing and its not illegal. Saying that means they found the same illegal part is JJ had is just plain ignorant. Almost every car has to make changes as it goes through tech. Your statement is simply absurd!

The comment made on TV was not that the weight adjustment screws were off.

They said specifically illegal weighting that is all I am saying.

no what they said was the weight was out of adjustment as each corner has to have a certain percentage of the total weight. That's why they came over with some wrenches and adjusted the weight jacks and then the car made weight just fine. I saw it too, there was no illegal weight. And besides, JJ's car wasn't illegal due to weight, it had a device to raise up the rear window and change the airflow across the rear deck/spoiler. This clearly was not at all comparable and details aside, that is what you falsely claimed.
