JohnMickish
Stewart drove line an a-hole today and has lost all my respect. I thought he was a good guy and had always stuck up for him in the past but with him and Zippys lack of remorse after the blatent crash of Kenseth shows how shallow this guy is. Hey can drive but there is more to being a man than being able to drive.
AQUAJOE
It's ok. Most can only be mad for a few races. He kinda drives like Dale Earnhart used to. Get out of my way.
AQUAJOE
Can't deny he's a good driver. 2 Times to the back and still took 5th.This is going to be an intersting year.
lawdog
He ALWAYS drives that way, why do you think Rusty was wanting to kill him a couple years ago and whey several other guys have had repeated run ins with him. He was at least partly at fault with that deal with the 24, he was trying to wreck the 48 and he did more than the 5 who got penalized, and I haven't even got to the B.S. with the 17! NASCAR should have parked him!
AQUAJOE
They can't park him for that.
Sifty
I think the 20 team will get a talking too. There where a few times out there he looked and acted like a rookie. I've had alot of respect for him but he lost alot of it today. After crying all week about the driving then he's the one that drove the worst.Sifty
outdoor ran
Chubby wines and cries all week that he might get hurt if people drive rough. It was all his plan to get everyone else to behave and then he comes out and drives like an !diot. Its only a matter of time before someone puts him over the wall. Nice to see that racing has turned into the NFL where the officials decide the outcome. Thanks Stewart
lawdog
Quote:They can't park him for that. Can't??? NASCAR has parked drivers for rough driving many times. He was a mobile train wreck today at the most dangerous track on the circuit. He had no business out there...
eyepatrol
Well, I got a kick out of earlier this week he makes the big headlines by saying that the way people are driving, someone will get killed out there within the next 5 years. Then to do what he did to Kenseth and say that Kenseth started the job and "I just finished it". I know this is speculation, but what if he HAD killed Kenseth with that stunt??? Pretty hypocritical if you ask me. I thought last year he turned his image and personality around a bit, but it just goes to show that you can't simply flip a switch and be a different person. Stewart was the wildest one on the track tonight, hitting everything in sight, and not in sight (so to speak). It's a shame.I didn't have much respect for the 5 car either, and tonight just reinforced those feelings with him too. The mouth really runs in the family doesn't it. And to say that he just hates Daytona....he won't be too appreciated there anymore I'd think. He kept it together for a good portion of the race I thought, but his true colors of poor decision drving shined in the end.
wally20
I'm a big Stewart and yes it did'nt look good, but we as TV watchers never know the hole story or SEE EVERTHING, their is always payback. I don't care who the driver is they all WINE sooner or later. Talk about Earnhardt, Who else can go below the yellow and gain position and nascar says nothing!!!!! He can do anything and NASCAR says nothing. It's all about tv ratings and the media, they make the stories as big as the want!
harvey lee
Not to start arguing, but from whaT i saw on the replay, and I was looking hard, was that his left side tires touched the yellow, but did not go below, therefore no penalty. Not to defend him,but to be far,no penalty. Shame on him barely even tore up a car. Time to move on. They both will get chatted with by NASCAR. Two weeks from now they will be playing poker again like usual. janda176
You can really tell a true TS fan, when they whine about others! Whine Whine Whine I'm sure TS will watch the race tomorrow on tape and when he see's it for himself, he will say I'm a real Jackbutt and say he sorry to everyone so he can race next week. JohnMickish
Does anyone know if the yellow line is in or out of bounds? Stick and ball sports the line is out so what is it here?
metrojoe
I think Stewart was confused as to which track he was on. It appeared he thought it was a demo derby. He sure can drive the heII outa that car though, can't he?
AQUAJOE
He sure can. He is always like this at the beginning of the season he will settle down and if he doesn't NASCAR will help him. Oh yea and line is in,in NASCAR.

From what i understand and from what the announcers were saying yesterday, you can drive on the yellow line, but as soon as two tires cross over to the otherside of the yellow line, you cannot pass. NAPAFISH
His worthless speech was probably a ploy to get others to drive carefully, so he would not have too. He moves up and bumps Busch, so Kyle hits hits him back. Kyle gets penalized. What a crock??
wally20
Well I guess all TS fans are whiners,so I'll let his driving do the talking! My point was alot of things happen that we don't see, If you've been to race you Know what I mean. There were plenty of other drivers doing some dumb things Sunday and I didn't say what TS did was alright! I'm sure by next week no one will remember Daytona and someone else will be in the hot seat or seats.Talk to you in November!!!!
eyepatrol
The way I see it, Stewart took out the drivers who had the best chance at winning the race. Gordon, who obviously had one of, if not the, fastest car there. Kenseth, who like Gordon, had one of the strongest cars there and led a number of laps. Bush, who also had a strong car and was working his way up to the front late in the race. That left Jimmy Johnson, who he must not have been able to get to. All the other cars weren't that much of a threat, or at least not as strong as a threat, to win the race. They were calculated moves on his part. OUTDOORNUT
The big question is what NASCAR is going to do to Tony for his comments to NBC after the race, if the move he put on Kenseth was platent enough, then brag about it on T.V. after the race. Stewart and the Busch brothers are really starting to stink up this sport! Remember Jr. got penalized for telling his crew he spun on purpose to bring out the yellow a few years back. eyepatrol
Ha! Yeah! No, actually I was kidding a bit on that post. Just wanted to see if it would get the Stewart fans all riled up. Just trying to play with people's passions a little!
PERCHJR
GO SMOKE!!! At least he is honest about what happened!!! Unlike all the other girls out there that make up dump to make them look like an angel, like um let me see....OH YEAH WONDERBOY, its so unlike him to not take the blame for something, oh thats right he never does, what was I thinking!!! GOOD LUCK AND GOOD FISHING!!!
lawdog
Obviously the off-season was way to short for "Perch" to resolve all his issues! Do you have the same Anger Management Shrink as Stewart?!?!?!????
