Reconditioned MinnKotas

Cabelas has a pretty good deal on on reconditioned MinnKota Vector stern motors. They have a one year warranty. Has anyone ever bought a recon MinnKota? Any problems?

I won a reconditioned motor a Pheasants Forever Banquet and use it on my duck hunting boat every fall and have had not issues with it.

I bought a reconditioned power drive 40# last April. Ran it all summer without the slightest problem. Very happy just hope I didn't jinx myself

I purchased a Minn Kota 74lb. Autopilot w/ universal sonar last spring from the Bobber Shop in Mankato. Probably saved a couple hundred bucks-came with a one year warranty and ran flawlessly all of last year. Looked like it was brand new out of the box. I figured if there was going to be any problems I would still be doing o.k. because the service center for Minn Kota is right in my backyard. From my experience I would definately recommend these units.

I am from Mankato, the home of Minn Kota, many years ago! I still buy them and would tell any one to buy one. Recon or not. I have had several of their motors and have only had one go in for repair. I also think with some place's, like Vexilar, I would buy them any time beause these are the one's that are gone though from top to bottom before we get them. Good Luck!! Mike

50 lb. thrust tiller was around 150? about half of the brand new cost glad i did it and would do it again!!

I got a refurbed Maxxum 70 last year for $520. I saved a couple hundred bucks and couldn't be happier with it.
