One week turn around is super when you consider it is in transit for probably 3-4 days. As mentioned all the testing in the world won't always solve the problems. This the case with any new product. For those thinking the Vex never has problems they had their fair share of problems when the FL 18 came out. It is the growing pains of new products whether we like it or not. I personally don't care as long as the fix the problem when the arise. I don't care because I know I am using the best flasher out there.

why would they pull the forum? Its some great info. Have heard many comments from people that have helped me and informed me of their problems being similar to mine. Are we suppose to only say good things about products? If everything was good I wouldn't have wanted any info. Hey, I'm a Marcum fan. Just want info to see if anyone else had similar problems and what it was.

Thank you,

TY SMITH.

Friday I took my brand new MarCum LX-3 up to LOW expecting that I had purchased something special, I lowered the transducer into the ice hole and it displayed only yellow flashes. However I could see the bottom of the lake and the lure, when the the walleye came in to bite there was a little extra streaks on the flasher indicating fish, but no orange or red colors. I brought the unit over to a friend's fish house who has the same unit and it performed the same, he disconnected his transducer and hooked it onto my flasher with the same results. With all the above complaints I am wondering if I should exchange the unit for a FL-18 or try another MarCum.

my first marcum purchase was an ovs400 about fours ago maybe 5. this year i was BLESSED with a new lx3tc. and i have nothing but GREAT things to say about their product. and from what i am reading. most of the peoples here feel the same way. having been in retail for all of my life, i have seen many new products come and go. and YES all companies have new product growing pains. just ask the guy that waits around for their washers to break well he has gotten his wish and he is now a busy guy. but thing is they are fixing the product. and yes there are those that WILL NEVER buy another one of those dang things again. but there also many more that understand and with great customer service, they are still confident in their purchase, as well as the company. heck i remember the microwave recall of a few years back by a company. it took them three months of redevelopement for the fix to the problem, and they offered to buy you a new microwave for you to use till the product was fixed. and i am tellin you i fixed hundreds of theM (thats how i was able to get my camera) i commend companies like that. and i see that kind of service in marcum tech. i do hope those of you that are haveing "problems" with products get them fixed. and that you enjoy the benifits of a great company like marcum. and to tell you the truth, i have never looked to see what my gain is set at. i will have to look the next time out. HAPPY FISHING TO ALL ..... paul

oh and just TRY to take away my lx3tc. i love it!!!!

Marcum has great customer service, I sent in my unit and it had a one day turn around only. I sent it out on last Weds. and Marcum recieved it on Thurs, and on Friday, it was sitting at my door. Looks like the problem is fixed, and it looks like I got a new transducer. I am still a fan of Marcum. Great customer service, but little quirks like this, along with many other FMer's, makes me think twice, next time I buy one of their products.

Not to dig up an old post but I had to comment on the phenomenal turnaround on my serviced and upgraded LX-3. Shipped it via Fedex Ground on Monday, Marcum had it on Tues, and it was waiting at home for me on Weds afternoon; a true 2 day turnaround. That is unheard of from most anyone when shipping is involved, let alone just dropping it off. Kudos to Marcum and their service center, now I have to get out to the lake to check out the new color scheme. Good Luck! McGurk
