Matt Johnson
Great catches on the homepage Bruce! That smallie is huge! Bruce is the owner and one of the master minds behind Today's Tackle. A lot of people might know Today's Tackle as home of the Ice Buster Bobber; which I've seen as something that most people carry with them out on the ice. But, Today's Tackle also caters to the open water angler by providing a series of weight systems (Foam Walker - Click-Here) which incorporate floats to minimize dragging yet keeps your bait in the strike zone. Really helps in preventing snags and such. A great option for trolling spinner-rigs and float-rigs, among other techniques. Today's Tackle also carries an open water bobber called the Wave Buster Bobber. Similar to the Ice Buster but with an added weight to break the waves and help with casting distance. Also a little larger in profile and size, a great choice for all open water species. And then back to ice fishing, Today's Tackle provides a wide-variety of tackle/gear options that help make ice fishign easier. Everything from Ice Wells for holding fish, to rod holders and rockers for deadsticking and organization. Today's Tackle is a true innovator in the sport of ice fishing. Check out all the tackle/gear choices from Today's Tackle... www.TodaysTackle.com It's nice to see the leaders behind such great products out in the field (or should we say boat ) enjoying the sport they help promote. And it looks like Bruce caught some fish too!
Northlander
I was doing some drifting and slow trolling over sunken logs the other day. The only thing that wouldnt hang up is the foam walker. As long as I didnt just drag it flat and it was standing up it was golden. Great tool for such situations. As far as the icebuster bobber I lost track how many I have used since I 1st saw them back at the ice show a few years back.
Borch
I love those ice and wave buster floats! They have become my go to float for hard and soft waer applications. They are great for those lite biting fish with the ability to trim them based on the weight you're using.
Matt Johnson
A product from Today's Tackle that I really enjoyed last winter was the new addition of the Rod Rocker... It's a very easy product to use and it can be applied to just about any species and for a variety of situations. It's designed to be used in both deadsticking situations as well as just a rod holder for a spare rod or a float/bobber set-up. It pivits/rotates along an anchor point (screw)... This allows a biting fish to feel almost no resistance, which can really make or break a day of ice fishing on some occasions. It will dip when a fish pulls, and it will rise when a fish takes the bait and comes up with it. You can screw it into the wall of a permanent fish house, the side of a bucket, the side of a seat, the side of a tub/sled, etc.. I've really become fond of using it as a deadstick holder where I've mounted it along the side of my Otter seat... I feel it's helped me become a more productive ice angler. I use it for catfish, walleye, perch, panfish, pike... the list goes on and on. Now I have all my Otter portable fish houses rigged with Rod Rockers on the side of all the seats. I also have a Rod Rocker rigged on a few 5-gallon buckets for when I'm running and gunning for catfish, walleye and pike... I typically store my minnows/bait inside the 5-gallon bucket, then I can use the live-bait rig in cordination with the Rod Rocker. The bait is right there with the rod for easy use, and I can walk over to a different hole and work a jigging rod while the rod in the Rod Rocker/bucket is secured and ready to catch fish. It really allows me to be more efficient when chasing fish over a large flat or piece of structure like out on Mille Lacs, Lake of the Woods, Red Lake, Winnibigoshish, etc. I also like to use them when on a hardcore pike hunt too. A lot of options for the Rod Rocker. It's a cheap and effective way to make ice fishing more productive. Another great product by Today's Tackle! Check out the Rod Rocker... Random guy
So simple yet so effective! I could even use that without messing it up! Most rod holders take up so much space this little guy will fit about anywhere and doesn't stick out so far that it is tangled up every time you pass by it in bulky winter clothing. I can't wait to try it with dead stick applications for Walleye.
CrappieJohn
Bruce has come up with quite a few pieces of ingenuity. This is another device which will make ALL fishermen even better at getting those extremely light biters. And now with the ability to clamp onto the lip of most portable tubs, the range of uses has expanded a lot.

I have even caught myself useing the Ice Well for a bait bag in the summer. Good stuff.. .Keep up the good work Bruce!!!!
Ray Esboldt
Don't all of Bruce's products make you want to wack yourself in the head and utter, "Why didn't I think of that." Simple and incredibly effective, that's all you can say about Today's Tackle.

jig n' jerk
I gotta get a few of those rod rockers they look like they could save some wear and tear on your wrists. Or maybe you could even use them as a strike indictor while dead sticking.
Matt Johnson
Great point jig n'jerk! They can definitely act as a strike indicator. For me, that's one of the main purposes for using the Rod Rocker, it will show when a fish hits, as well as greatly reduce the amount of resistance a fish feels when grabbing the bait if set correctly... I love the things.I worked in the Thorne booth the afternoon and was right behind Bruce's booth. He was busy all day that I saw. For those who have not met him and are planning to do the show yet today or tomorrow, stop and say hi. He and his father are really, really some down-to-earth , good people with some outstanding products designed to do nothing more than make your fishing easier. Tyler Holm
I need to put in a plug here for Bruce and Today's Tackle. A few days ago I put my first ever order into Today's Tackle. I ordered the Rod Rocker over the HSOforum and everything went smoothly. The shipment was surprisingly quick and I was excited to open my box of goodies. To my surprise I received 2 Rod Rocker 2s rather than my originally ordered Rod Rockers (sometimes mixups happen). Here is a quote from Bruce himself “Tell him to keep what I sent him and I'll ship out his Rod Rockers today. Bruce Mosher” Now that’s superior customer service. I’ve never met Bruce before, but its customer service like that that will make me a repeat customer. Thanks Bruce and Today’s Tackle. PS. I'm going to put the Rod Rockers on my Otter seat as shown above. I will will be putting the Rod Rocker 2s on my sled as shown at Rod Rocker
Bruce Mosher
Tyler, Thanks for the nice post after mixing up your order! I guess I should have made up a different name for the Rod Rocker 2. Either that or someone should take out the stir stick that is in my head going round and round. Have fun, Bruce Mosher
