How many bass have you caught off one dock?

I have often pulled numberous bass off one dock. The main thing is trying to guess how good a dock is when you come up to it so that you can pick it apart as best as possible. If you make your best cast first all the way under the dock;.... then yes you will probably only catch 2 bass per dock.. yet if you pick the edges first, then slowly start casting further and at different parts of the dock that you can pull bass off each part... My personal best was 12 ff a dock in bemidji in the spring. However, there was a tree that went under the dock as well... so some fish came off the tree under the dock.

The main thing.. is hit the outside edges first and hit the active fish.. then work your way under the dock..

Dietz hits it right on. One more thing. Be sure to throw something out 5'-10' in front of a dock, since I have always found many fish that hang out near but not always in the docks, especially the larger fish. My preferred lure for this is a yum dinger or senko.

I got lucky one day. I threw a white and yellow spinner under a marina dock at WBL, near the VFW, and wound up with 11 bass and 3 northerns within 1 hour. Boy, it was a tiring yet fun day. Like the other two posts said, I started out about 10 to 15 ft. in front of the dock and began to work a pie shape pattern. I did put the spinner on the dock and slowly pulled it so that it drops right at the edge of the dock and counted to 5 and began to reel, got 3 bass by doing that.

Soon bass came out to say hi to me, all of them, the whole family too. LOL!

we have two docks at my cabin one on a public lake and one thatis private, both are around 200 acres. I can sit on either dock and catch bass pretty much consistantly for most of the day. even got my biggest bass off that dock while casting a storm soft plastic 24" went a little over 7 lbs on the berkeley digital scale.

A few years back on memorial day it was cold and rainy, we were fishing Gull Lake and I know of a few deep water docks that are close to spawning grounds (within 100 yards) the end of the dock sits in about 8' of water. I think the cold front pushed alot of the spawners back out to deeper water to hold until warmer temps returned, I bet we pulled about 20-25 bass of just one dock in about an hour, then another 10-15 from the adjacent dock. No boat traffic and the right timing lead to that awesome morning.

Very common to catch 5-6 7 fish off one dock. I love fishing docks off points. I have a dock that I fish with two pontoons on it a canopy and a down tree 10' away on the side off a point. It is my go to dock when ever I have some one with me and their is a little wager going on...

Sluggomaster and I pulled 20+ fish off of one dock two bass openers ago. The fish were in front of the dock. I ALWAYS fish the outside first, and then move in. Another thing you need to do is get your fish in fast. If you fight the fish under the dock for a long time then it will scare the other fish away.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
