All I can say is WOW! I am watching greatness and it is called the starting White Sox pitching staff. In all my 46 years, I have never seen a performance like I have just witnessed. The Sox pitching staff held the Halos to a .175 batting average in the series, a record unheard of in the history of baseball!

As a bonus, it is the second time seeing my beloved Pale Hose advance to the big show. I don't remember much of the first one back in 1959 as I was only 5 months old, but I'm sure I popped a cold bottle of formula and gave my mom and dad a formula shower. This time it is Krystal and Cohiba's all around.

Here's to....FOUR MORE WINS!

YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD...YES!

Windy-

COngrats!!!! Congrats on being a White SOX fan on mostly MN site. I don't like the W-SOX,, but I'll give credit when credit is do. You spanked 2 great teams. You must finish, or, all will be lost, (at least in that town.)

Congrats again and good luck.

I'am sure the Stros or Cards will put up a challenge better than the Halos. (at least I hope so)

Hey Windy,

I am feeling just like you, WOW. In all my years watching baseball I have never seeing such a dominant performance by a pitching staff they are something else, Contreras and company are a bunch studs. I wish they could of gave the ALCS MVP award to the whole starting staff along with Konerko. To top it off I board a plane this Friday after work for game 1 on Saturday, can I say it for you "YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD...YES"

Buzz by all means do dismiss them... We had the best opportunity to score in that game last night with runners on 1st and 3rd and nobody out. A ground ball that the third basemen has to charge in on and the only play he has is first base but Pujols helps him out by coming home... What the heck was he thinking??? Worse case scenario the play is made at 1st with one out and we have runners on 2nd and 3rd. Pujhols scores on the ground out from Mabry to tie the game and then another batter comes up to try to put the Cardinals in front. Jim Edmonds tossed out with a 3-2 count when he was clearly trying to bail out of the pitch. Inconsistent strike zones and missed opportunities. Regardless here we are on the brink of elimination and tonight will see what were made of.

Windy and rest of you Sox fan's, congratulations to you all! You guys spanked the Angels soundly and I don't think it's to far fetched to say that the White Sox will be world series champions because they just are great in all facets of the game... Starting pitching, clutch hitting, small ball you name it you guys exemplify it. I know I should be probably pulling for the NL Central in the World series but I can't stand Houston and the fricking bees buzzing each time they come to the plate to hit. Sox pitching will shut down what little offense Houston has.

Dissapointed about my Cardinals, you bet I am, ready for some serious changes in St'Louis this choke ball has gone on long enough.

Tim, sorry about your Cardinals. I was yelling at the TV wondering why Pujols would be running when the ball was hit right next him, I didn't think he had any chance of beating the throw before I saw him break for the plate. Is Mabry that slow? It took him forever to jog up the 1B line. Windy, congrats! That was some of the best pitching I think I've ever seen. Glad to see the monkey gone. No one will beat your Sox in the Series, get ready to really party on the south side!

CNY Tim,

Get back in the boat, get off the gang plank. You have your stud going tonight and if he can win you will bring this thing back to St. Louie. Stranger things have happened, look at 4 complete games in a division series! The boys may be out to get one back for Tony. I think it was a good move him getting tossed, it was the right time and he had to make a point as the Cards were getting hosed on that shifting strikezone. Edmonds, on the other hand should be shot for arguing the call. Edmonds can hit homeruns, Tony LaRussa can't. Leave the arguing to the coaches and keep yourself in the game man. Anyway, stick with the boys Tim, as the hawkeroo says, "They have to cinch it up and hunker down, it's time for the Cardinals to bow their necks. So sit back relax and strap it down and you may just be saying...YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD...YES! Then all bets are off if you can get them back to STL. Get out an extra large can of Cardinal WHOOP A$$ and get the job done tonight!

CNY Tim....HOLD THE WRECKING BALL!!!

You see my man, get your arse back in the boat and start rowing, there's work to be done. Nice come from behind, very exciting. But, I have to tell you, I lost some respect for Tony LaRussa tonight. What in the heck was he doing letting Carpenter face Berkman in that situation having pitched 110 pitches. That game should have never been that close. If he brings in a reliever from the pen and gets Berkman, I have to believe that the Cards win 2-1 or more. Cudo's to Eckstein and Edmonds for setting the table and letting Albert "The Chauffer" drive them home! I'll give you one of mine to borrow...YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD...YES! They are not out of the woods yet but at least they can see the forest from the trees.

Windy and others,

I broke down after all the hugs and high fives at the Stoney Point Grill. We truely witnessed history by going to a World Series.....the first in my lifetime.......and we also witnessed a historic pitching performance by the Sox starters. First time in LCS history to have 4 straight complete games, first time since Larson and Co. did it in the World Series, first World Series for the Sox and the City of Chicago since '59, bla bla bla.

I sat at Midway Airport til 6 this morning and witnessed their arrival. I was also in the Trib, interviewed live on Channel 5 live this morning, interviewed by CLTV, and was on a radio show also. Just about everyone there got some press......5 or so helicopters above, about 10 of those satellite towers on trucks.........it was awesome!

Something I will cherish for the rest of my life.

As well as the every playoff game I attended: with my mom and dad for Boston's game one , my dad and wife and son for game 2............. mom/dad/sister for game 1 of the ALCS, and with 3 very good friends for game 2 of the ALCS.

The tailgating was awesome.....met about 30 friends in the lot and fired up my weberQ..........good eats and good times.

I'm just rambling here, but this is truely something I will never forget.

I can't imaging if we win it all........

The announcers were saying that the Astro's call Lance Berkman Fat Albert well I'll say this ... There is only one Albert and he is "Phat!" We got them where we want them, same scenario as last years LCS. I remember when Jim Edmunds hit that home run to bring it to game 7. We have covered this ground before we can do this, I think Lidge will be afraid the rest of the series, couldn't believe he was crying what a wuss... Taking my wife to Def Leppard concert at the Casino tonight and then it's off to Game 6 tomorrow. "That's a winner!"

Thats cool to hear.. not to bring up the past but I can remember vividly to the day where I was and what I was doing when the Twins were WINNING the World Series. It was good memories winning the playoff games, but multiply that many times over if you win the World Series....

You guys have a chip and a chair and the way your team is pitching your city could be about ten days away from being burnt down. tongue.gif I say that last part jokingly of course. Enjoy the good times and like you said... you'll never forget these memories!

CNY Tim,

Wow, what a difference a day makes. Your attitude seems to have taken a 180 degree turn, kind of like Brad Lidge's neck as he watched Phat Albert's dinger crash into the plexiglass window. I think that ball would have went at least a 100 feet more if it didn't have the glass there.

But, a word of caution CNY, don't get too cock-ay as you will face the toughest game of your season on Thursday. Mr. Oswalt has not shown any signs of being rattled by the Red Birds and Mulder, as much as I like him, seems very hittable. Then, if you do manage to win that game, the only thing left is for you to beat a first ballot hall of famer in waiting, Roger Clemens. I would hate to be in your shoes but I am sure you would rather be in those shoes than the ones that would have been without Phat Albert's moon shot. THEN, if you do manage to win those two games you get to face 4 pitchers who have pitched four complete game wins and have set the baseball world on fire!

Anything else? That being said, enjoy the concert and the game and here's hoping that we both get to cruise the double nickle a few times in the next week. And as usual...

YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD...YES! Windy

I just can't wait for this game to start tonight... I keep looking at the clock in my office and it seems like it's not moving, LOL...

Windy do you believe all that bunk about the White Sox being idle for so long that it may take them a game to get back up to playoff mode because of the long lay off? They were talking about that on Sportscenter.

We had a great time at the concert last night Bryan Adams opened for Def Leppard and before hand and I took the misses to dinner and tails.
