New at coyotes?

Recommended Posts

I live in central MN and the past years have been seeing more and more coyotes, day and night. This year i have seen three, from three different deerstands, three different times. After deer hunting this year i would like to try for them. Any advice on calling, time of day, or decoys would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

1) They never stop moving. Practice shooting at objects in motion.

2) Calling is easy. Coyote hunting is not.

3) If you think wind awareness is important, you should try hunting 'yotes.

4) They don't eat good, but they tan real nice..........

The vary smallest I would use in a rimefire would be a 22 mag. A 22LR will just wound them they are tuff. Do you have a shot gun? That would work with buckshot. I hop this doesn't get delleted but I am only trying to help eyes111 out. Check out Predatormasters. You know what comes after the dot. They can and will answer all of your questions.

Later,

Lights

I would have to go with Lights here, I think if you have a shotgun, shoot #4 buck with a tight turkey choke, and you should have no problem dusting one out to 40, maybe 50.

I you find out that you like predator hunting the .223 will be good buy if you stick with it.
