barebackjack
What Do some of you guys outthere do for the football games, do you have rituals amongst you and some friends? If I do anything for a football game, it usually involves going to a local tavern by noon and watching the noon and 3 oclock games. Superbowl Sundays are usually spent at my fathers house having adult beverages and talking smart.
james_walleye
Way too often i spend my sundays as this one wondering how i was fooled into thinking this year will be the year. I apologize too everyone here for talking silly stuff like the vikings will be a superbowl contender. This game was a complete joke.
H.Hughes
Dont be jumping back on the wagon towards the end of the year then. Typical...Vikes will be fine.
james_walleye
You dont know me man, im as diehard a viking fan as you'll find. Thats why im so disappointed. Theres no bandwagon here. But if your going too tell me that game wasnt a joke than you saw something i didnt. This didnt even look like a playoff caliber team today. Maybe it will change. I mean it couldnt get much worse than what the offense looked like today. But dont even begin too call me a bandwagon viking fan. I spend more time trying too defend this team year after year, but it gets old getting all hyped up and then getting dropped like a bad habit. icecold
You know what i do during football games I make sure Im out hunting and fishing so that way Im not getting frustrated like everyone else over whos winning or loosing, Abad day of hunting or fishing is better than a good football game { is there such a thing as a good game} 42 and proud to say I have never watched a game
genegodawa
Well Icecold, can't say as that is something to be proud of but you are entitled to your opinion. As a sports fan who also loves to fish, I'm dissapointed at your feeling about televised sports, but then again at 42, I'm sure you already know what they say about opinions. Funny, I know a guy who thinks the same way you do about watching games only he doesn't understand why outdoorsmen spend time posting on chat boards - something you'll never be able to say you've never done before. Stratosman
I love the Vikes and all MN sports teams, however, I won't pass up a afternoon in the boat or in the tree stand to stay home to watch them, there was a time when I would have, but fall is the best time of the year and weekends are too short. Today I watched them, should have went fishing!
Eric Wettschreck
I try real hard to be sittin on my corner of the couch, chips and salsa at the ready, 12-er of PBR in the fridge. Every time the Vikings get a touchdown I get up, and tackle my 2 boys. Then the dogs jump in and it's a real wrestling match until Mrs boilerguy gets torqued and starts yellin. Another touchdown, another round on the carpet with boys and dogs and Mrs boilerguy a screamin.
fishyguy
My NFL Sundays vary depending on the game. I will travel to one a year (Carolina this year), biggest games are at home on the couch with a couple of friends (I get to control the volume, etc...) and what appear to be lopsided or meaningless contests are spent at the local tavern.
