Boar's Bear Pix

Boar

Recommended Posts

Boar,

That is one awesome bear! Like I said earlier, you earned it. All the hard work, planning and excecution paid off, you accomplished it by yourself with no assistance from anyone .. Hell you paid your dues and proved ya could do it with your first bear 3-4 yrs ago. This pig ya got, proves your dedication to the hunt and skill as a bear hunter. Congrats!!!

Congrats are in order too, to Canopy Sam on his first bear!! A nice 150lb bear is a great way to start out and pop your berrie!! Someday I too hope to do as well as Boar has done..

Gotta run and watch the funnel clouds a forming!!! Mega storm brewing and sirens galore!!

Boar, again awesome bear!!

Very nice bear indeed! What kind of shape was the hide in? What kind of mount are you going with? I'm jealous as I have to wait another 4-5 years here in WI for another tag. Just might have to visits MN next fall.

The hide is very nice, clean smells like bear. Dosent really have that fall thickness being so early but it is beutiful coat, gonna have a shoulder mount done, close mouth an turned the oposite way as my first bear is. Thanks guys for the pat on the back. Hope everyone is having good luck or at least some kind of action, my bait pile is still getting hit might just see whats happening this weekend. Later boar

Great job! I shot one very similar to yours on the 6th. He weighed 354 pounds undressed. Something different about this bear was that he had a collar and gps hooked up to his ears! Yes, he was a Camp Ripley bear (I'm hunt'n not too far from camp). I always questioned myself if I would ever shoot a collared bear and told myself no...but fishn' is getting good, I'll be going elk huntin in Montana next week, and this was too big of a bear for me to pass up! I don't know how to post pics but it looks very similar to Boar's! Very big skull, will have to get it measured. Again, congrats to all and good luck to those still workin' at it!

Thanks Boar! I just finished grindin' some of the meat from my bear (I call him #81 from his tagged ear) into burger. Can't wait to try it out this weekend! Have any favorite recipes? I know the internet has a lot of recipes to try with bear and I'm fix'n to try a few out!
