Capt, nope totally different fish. The fish I am holding was caught during the LETS tounament on East Battle, and is close to 5 lbs I would guess. If you look close I am not really holding that fish out too far.

And your always invited.. just find some time sir!

Nope, I wish I could claim Deitz's fish, but it had mine beat by about a pound. That was a heafty fish Deitz caught that's for sure! Mine just looks big because of the excellent photography grin.gif

Good Fishin,

Matt Johnson

Fishinbill- I would call around. I saw some at the Forest Lake gander on clearance the other day. Not sure if they still have them. Otherwise you can always e-mail the company and have them send you a catalog or buy them online! Sportsmens warehouse may have them as well.

Well, I'm glad I never got around to picking some up before I went out on Friday and Saturday. It would have been easy to blame the "creature" for my lack of success. Stuck with my go-to stuff instead. Over 6 hours of fishing and only two small bass, one each day to avoid the shutout. I guess I can't slay em all the time. grin.gif

oh oh!! this is bad if deitz is scratching for bass!! grin.gif i could have caught bunches of them this morning.( the little snots[3 in. or less] were even hitting/biting my line) i tried for a little bit after giving up on the crappies; only tried surface poppers and a small crank for a little bit. nothing either.

Deitz....

That's why I get out as much as I can, to offset those days when the bite just ain't happening. 'Cause ya never know, the next time out just might be one of those right place-right time type of trips. Tomorrow night just might cure last weekends ills - we'll see. cool.gif
