Gordon versus Jr picks

I don't think either one of them will gain much of any ground on Jimmie this week. He will run top five unless something happens mechanically. Biffle won't be far behind that either.

I honestly don't know who will do better.

Hopefully Jr. will have a top 5 finish and the cars 6-12 in the points race will have poor finishes.

Despite Gordon's troubles, I have a feeling they will have him dialed in this weekend.

It will be intresting to see how this come's out.The 24 needs some help and the 8 has a roll going. I think the 24 will come out on top this week. With the way things have been going for the 20 I would be keeping a eye out for them.

I'll take Gordon to have a better average finish over Jr. for the rest of the year. Jr. could still finish ahead of Jeff but Jeff will have the better average.

Jr. hasn't done well at Pocono and I think the 24 team, although last week probably realized they're getting to a "do or die" situation, really know now that it's do or die. In my opinion, this is it for the 24 team. I think they need to have at least 4 top five finishes these final races before the chase starts plus their other finishes must be at least top 10 or better or they'll be on the outside looking in. With that being said, I'll take the 24 this weekend.

Jr is ahead of Gordo so they then must both be over,Gordo is still behind Jr even if he had a better day.Neither are looking very good.13th place finishes probably wont cut the mustard.It will maybe be close for one of them with bad luck for more than one of the top 12.

I guess I could start something here and asked if anybody seen the replay of GORDO taking out Mr. Wallace??? It's still a mystery to me, to my surprise they never showed one!!! Guess anything goes for WONDERBOY to make the stupid chase!!! Guess if that works Jr will have to go to GORDO'S driving school this winter!!! Not that I wish Jeffy bad luck (LAWDOG)!!!

I think they took some of the pine from Pocono and are planning on making a coffin for the #8 Team.

Maybe they already did that last week, because they weren't working on their Pocono car! UGLY!!!

Jrs car really stunk it up at Pocono,and as usual he has his problems with impound races,but,its not over til the fat lady sings,and even if shes warming up,its not over yet.Same for Jeffy as he is in not much better shape,but does do the impound races better than Jr.They both are in deep doggy do-do.

Gordon is definitely in deep doggy do-do! Six races left. The next three he has done and can do real well at. The last three, all of which have been run this year already, he has really stunk up the joint. Assuming 3 good finishes with 3 either mediocre or bad finishes, and you get an average of mediocre to somewhat decent finishes....not good enough to make the chase if you ask me. I still think he needs to win or place in the top 5 in 4 of the next 6 races with the leaders having bad days for Gordon to even have a chance. But, with things going the way they are, I just don't see it happening. Nor for Jr.

And, if that's what happens, then so be it. Can't win them all anyway. I'll be pulling for Martin if Gordon doesn't get in....even if Gordon does get in, I'll still pull for Martin...I'd like to see him go out a cup champion.

They showed one on my tv. It was a bad angle so you couldn't see if Wallace slowed down or what. Just because one car runs into the back of another car it's not allways the rear cars fault. Many times it's because of a car infront of both of them.

All of you Jr. fans, if you say Gordon is done then Jr. is too, as there are only three points between them and I'll bet the 24 is infront of the 8 by the end of Indy.

Hey NAPA, can I get an "AMEN"!!! I am the first to say that rubbing is not racing, yes I know that all the guys on here will say that Sr was the biggest rubber on the track but I disagreed with his style also!!! I am just trying to make a point that JEFFY gets away with everything out there, and presto the replay is gone!!! The Hendrick fans can complain all they want about us DEI fans but we are always right!!!

Anyways, you DEI and Hendrick fans have it easy. Try being a life long Ford/Roush fan. Sure, the last few years have been good but man, us Ford guys have had a long dry spell. Kind of like being a Red Sox fan.

Anyhow, this is about the time when the season really starts to get good.
