Cliff Wagenbach
I got a chance to try out my new Angel Eye Jigs today! WOW! These jigs really worked great for walleyes in deep water on Vermilion. (36 feet to 54 feet deep.) The glow colors and the Firetiger color were killers! I missed very few fish that actually got the whole jig in their mouth! These hooks are really sharp! Great paint and great fish catching colors also. Thanks Jeff for another great product!! Deitz Dittrich
Great to hear such a great report... Do you think the head shape helped get to the deeper water better?
Scenic
Thanks for the kind words Cliff. I finally got to put some more time in using the Angel Eye Jig myself this past weekend at the Lake of the Woods get together. We had a blast up there and caught a ton of fish. The hot colors seemed to be either Glow/Blue or the Firetiger.
Cliff Wagenbach
Deitz, Yes, I really think that the narrow head design helped get my jig to the bottom easier and to keep it there! Cliff
CrappieJohn
On another note, the "large eye" concept is a sure winner in jigs. Some fish that feed primarily by sight are fooled by the illusion that the bait is more than it is simply because they target the large eye. Again, great concept. Oldtyme
While you're picking up some of those angel eye jigs don't forget to include some of those Scenic tackle crappie jig heads. They work great with Crappie Toms grubs (also finding jig heads with no "barb" is really hard to find anywhere else...)
Scenic
We designed the Angel Eye Jigs for the larger plastics or live bait and the Crappie Jigs were made to be used with the plastics that are offered. By having both you will be well rounded for jigs/plastics.
Chris Haley
*****Consumer Warning*******These jigs are known to be deadly for fish and win lot's of money. Use these jigs with extreme confidence!!! The manufacturer of these jigs will not be responsible for burned out aerator pumps from keeping fish alive. The manufacturer also will not be held responsible for increased bait expenses due to large numbers of fish being caught. These jigs may also lead to strangers coming up to your boat to ask where to get some of those. Given all this, you are better off just buying some plain jane jigs that won't bring as much attention to you and your line. You have been warned!!! Cliff Wagenbach
I finally have gotten a jig bite going on Lake Vermilion again and got a chance to try out the Angel Eye Jigs again this morning! These jigs are really deadly when combined with live bait! It took two of my clients just 2-1/2 hours to limit out on 15" to 18" walleyes! Needless to say, they were very impressed with these jigs and said that they will be ordering some as soon as possible! Thanks again for a great product that really does catch fish! Dennis Steele
I have to agree that these are some great jigs. With the water starting to cool on the rivers the walleye will turn on soon and these jigs are great for working flowing water.Early fall the walleye will be shallow and pitching jigs is the best way to target some nice fish. Pitching the jig up shallow then drifting your presentation along current edges triggers bites and the wide side profile along with a dimple at the eye aid the drift of Angle Eye jigs. Add a large plastic that will stay on the double keeper bite after bite, and you have a great presentation.Late fall the walleye drop into the holes and the best presentation is vertical jigging. The Angle Eye jig has a thin vertical profile that allows you to use less weight to effectively work the jig straight up and down while drifting the holes. The wide side profile gives the fish a larger target to attack. And the very sharp hooks stick those light biters easily. With the fall bite just around the corner, its time to stock up on some quality jigs and I'll be sure to have one tied on to my line. Northlander
Dennis ya hit it on the head. These jigs are working great for me on the St.Louis with plastics of all sorts, mostly Berkley Power Shiners and some flukes. The double barb really keeps those plastics from sliding and I really think that eye gives the Walleyes a good target. Fall walleyes jigging is my favorite and the Angel Eye jig and plastics help keep my hands warm and dry since I dont have to mess with minnows as often. Plus the hooks are nice and sharp and have a nice gap wich is a big bonus when using larger plastics. Great all around jigs.

Northlander
Rick I couldnt keep the cat in the bag myself. Went out yesterday and hit a few walleyes on them with big suckers. Also caught about 30 nice smallmouth with the same and also some plastics. The wide gap sticky sharp hook is the ticket in this application. Cliff Wagenbach
Still using the Angel Eye jigs on Vermilion and we are really slamming the walleyes on them when the wind stays down enough! Cliff
Northlander
Well I was on the St.Louis today and caught almost all my fish on the Angel Eye jigs. The bite got lite and I went to some of Crappie Toms hair jigs with the built in stinger. Those proved to be the ticket when the fish were hitting light. Later on during "Prime time" the fish started to be more agressive and the old AE jig and plastics took some nice eyes. I really like the AE jig for plastics. The barbs and hook gap is a must for bigger plastics.
Borch
The angle eyes jigs have been working great for me. I've used them with both plastics and minnows. The jigs seem to fish a bit heavier that their actual weight which is fine by me. Not to mention the hooks on these jigs. They are definitely sticky sharp! Wiskers
I tell ya what.. I like my Angel Eye Jigs so much I have to hide them in the tackle box, lol... I have noticed that they work much more consistantly, the paint stays on much longer and they are always a head turner when you pop one on when your with some one that has not seen them yet... They hit the shore running for the bait shop when we are done. Now that I am on the topic I need to get out and restock soon.. The river seems to like them quite a bit too and does not like to share either.
