I'd pick up the phone and call Minnkota. They are generally vey good about helping. I KNOW they answer many calls about the switches in foot pedals. It is usually a simple fix or replacement.

I called Minnkota for a replacement board with switches on it. If I remember right, it was about $58. I bought a whole new pedal, (with cable), for about $48. Don't remember exact prices but I know it was cheaper. Call around. I called 5 different places with $15 in price difference. I bought mine over in Fridley at Fish 'Lectronics.

How long ago did you get it? I was calling around today and can't seem to find any. Called Minnkota and they discontinued them. I found just the board on the net for like $65. Is it worth that?

I have the same trolling motor with the same problem. I even went to Fish'lectronics and they said they couldn't help either. Have you tried taking it apart and cleaning things up. I did this and got another year out of it. Now one of the "pads" on the circuit board has worn thru and shorted out, My speed adjustment also quit working. So now I can only turn right at medium speed. I don't know if the circuit board would be worth $65. Could you forward the link to the site you found it on so I could check it out? Thanks

Guys, About 2 weeks ago, I took my old (chrome shaft) 65 over to Minnkota. They basically told me "Sorry, We don't have any of those anymore, all the new ones are fiberglass." And the new shafts are also a different diameter. I'm sure if you would call "information" or do a google search, you could get the 800 number. Generally, they're really helpful people. Phred52

The fiberglass tubes are all 1-1/8" in diameter with the lower unit threads at 18 threads per inch.

The older chromed steel tubes were 1-1/8" mostly (some were 1" and some were 1.5") and 24 threads per inch. They are not interchangeable for other reasons, too.

Also, the older foot pedal the worked on the motors with the chromed steel tubes have been obsolete for several years.
