I didn't get out fishing on opener but had the catch of my life. We had a 6 lbs 10 oz boy on Sat. at 4:30 p.m. Everything went well and we are very excited as this is our first child. I can't wait to get him out fishing! Just had to share. It is the best reason I have ever had to miss opening fishing and it was well worth it! grin.gif

Congrats, You have a lifetime fishing partner! I just returned from another successful opener with my 24 yr. old son. It is always my most enjoyable fishing trip of the year!

Congrats !Kinda helps you realize how precious life is when you see the baby for the first time.My wife and I just had our 4th (2nd boy) 2 months ago yesterday and I think I may have her talked into trying for the 5th one already.

Enjoy your new baby,it is truely an AWESOME experience being a Dad,congrats again to you and your wife.
