I am looking for a good local fishing magazine. i know of the Minnesota Sportsman, does anyone have any other suggestions of magazines that would deal with fishing in MN specifically with locations, tactics, technology stuff? grin.gif

I would consider all the articles and such on FM an Online magazine.. in which you can ask your own questions... I think you have your mag right here!!!! Make sure you check out the articles on the front page and see if you can find back articles as well..

I really enjoy The Outdoor News. It is MN specific and has a ton of great articles every week about fishing and hunting. I look forward to Thursdays because that is when it arrives in my mailbox. I also subscribe to Minnesota Sportsman and Midwest Outdoors, but my favorite is the Outdoor News.

For Minnesota related news and articles, I look to Outdoor News hands down.

Joe Fellegy's Mille Lacs Digest is also a good little paper but very specific to Mille Lacs and is only published a few times a year.

You really can't go wrong with a pile of In-Fisherman's either.

O.N for me too! I like the "Cuffs and Collars section" It has some funny stories sometimes. Like the one that a farmer was asked how some tires made it in his burn pile, he said the cows must have rolled them in there. grin.gif

I also am in the Outdoor News boat on this one...quality stuff. I will not buy Minnesota Sportsman. I admire their effort to put forth an outdoors publication, but I feel that there are way too many occasions in which they exploit smaller "honey-holes" that cannot handle heavy fishing pressure by printing articles about them, or mentioning them in species specific articles in an attempt to sell magazines. Just my opinion though...
