I guess that kind of makes sense but then I think about major ice fishing contests in comparison. The Brainerd Jaycees don't ask for a SSN to enter their contest where there is at least 1 cash prize of $10,000 and several >= $1,000. I'm assuming Pfister can clear this up once and for all, but maybe he's asking for it up front where Brainerd Jaycees is only asking if you win?

the Brained one is a fund raiser for there jc and the grand slam has to have all book work in to the accountant and if you make more than $2,500 a event you will be 1099. this is not a fund raiser this is for the fisher man and we pay out a lot for what we have most of the teams in the past split the money they win and on paper in the past no one person has taken home more than $2,500. hundred them selves I have this matter under control if you have any Questions to any thing you may call me my # is on the flyers if you have a accountant you should ask him and he will fill you in why we do this any questions call me tom good fishing to all.

Wel boys I dont know where to begin. After day 1 we sat in seventh. After day 2 we were in a 3 way tie for 9th but wound up 11th due to our big fish being smaller than 9th and 10th placers big fish. We would have had second wrapped up but a 31 plus incher came unglued from my crawler rig 5' behind the boat 25 minutes before weigh in! Oh well thats fishing.

There were a lot of boats in the running and ounces seperated a lot of boats.

We were on fish all week and had our chance at the $ but we will have to wait for next year I guess.

It was nice to see MT, Condor and Jeff all fishing this weekend. Condor Ill check and see if we can get a deal if we buy 2 extending nets so we can get to those pigs before they shake off! frown.gif There were lots of big fish people had on and didnt get in the boats.

Im sure glad we didnt get the rain that was predicted and overall the weather was quite fishable compared to past years.

The move to Spirit Lake Marina worked out very well for everyone. Being in the center of the river worked out great. Thanks to all the great fisherman, sponsors, Spirit Lake Marina and the Pfister Family for another Fun and Exciting Grand Slam Walleye Tourney!!!

Tom next year Im grabbing that big Beckman Net out of the Skippers Kid! wink.gif

Well Outdooran I hope I didnt let ya down to much. Now lets hit Alouiz Bay! grin.gif

Steve, we'll forgive ya this time grin.gif Sounds like you had a good time, bummer on the big fish getting off. What kind of line are you running on your spinners? I hope to hit the bay here sometime this week. Everytime it rains it sets it back. Its tough trying to get those fish to bite in that red clay. We'll have to hook up and give it a shot. I still haven't picked up a walleye on the big lake. But man, are the salmon, browns and lakers going nuts out there. Lots of fun. Now if I can just bring myself back inland to catch some walleyes.

Randy Im using 10# Trilene XT. I have used 10 Vanish but had too many break offs with it. The XT works much better for me. I also use it in my line counter reels for bottom bouncing and trolling eyes on the big lake.

I was talking to a friend who fished this and he landed a 50+ inch musky during the tourney. He figured it went around 35lbs. He is emailing me the pics, but I do not know how to post pics. I will try.

Steve,

Congrats on a good tourny, sorry things didnt work out for ya to put that last one in the box. Sounds like the top team really put a nice couple days together back to back with a big fish each day. Maybe see ya out on the river monday morning, gonna try and take a break from moving to spend a few well-deserved hours on the pond and river.

Over kill Ranger? What do you mean? It's just a nice little ship. I had some "Muskey Guys" look at the photos of that fish. They think it was only 45-46 inches, it sure seemed bigger to "walleye guy". I was really hoping that it was a HUGE walleye!Anyhow, great tourney I think fun was had by all.

I was just giving you slack, Andrew. That's a pretty sweet boat you have, I am just jealous. I am going out with Phil on Friday so I will have to bring the yard stick to make sure the size of the fish are accurately measured this time.
