    Grand Slam Walleye

I just got off the phone with Phister. He told me that the tourney is still on. Also, he said that 30+ boats are signed up. Normally, about 20 teams sign up the night before the tourney. It looks like we'll have a full field! Drew

    Looking at adding a Kicker

I had the Panther electic steer...I hated it! It was way to slow. Drew [note from admin: please read forum policy before posting again. thanks!]

Randy Bowe in Duluth does great work!

    Shed Antlers

Freaky Freak...I can tell you were home with the kids all day. As you know, we hit some yards up north today. Great stuff, tons of deer, huge rubs, not many boot tracks...but zip on the sheds.Still lots of snow, we need to go back! What's up next weekend? Drew

    Grand Slam Walleye

Carmon, Sorry to hear that you got stuck with those dogs!(Better you than me) Gary said that you have a hot jig stick....You should grab the Ranger and jump in this tourney. It has been won by out of towners a few times. Drew

    Grand Slam Walleye

This is the kind of debate this forum has been missing for quite some time! North, I don't remember you ever talkin this much smack! Does this mean your not going to fish? What kind of changes are in order? Cheffery, as I recall you paid half the debt. If you want to up the anti...game on! Skippers Kid, 50 boat max? We should be able to fill that. Those of you that want to test your skills against the "local legends" here's your chance! Drew

    Grand Slam Walleye

Wow, I didn't realize I'd spark this kind of debate. North did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed? What's this about you not fishing this great event? It's always a thrill to fish against the best. Gunflint....Ahh new blood, we are always looking forward to some new sticks. Hopefully, for you, you'll teach the old dogs some new tricks! Hawgeye, your getting a new boat nobody wins this tourney in a fancey new rig. You should know, it gets won with a dirty small camo boat. I'm thinkin a top 30 at best for you!lol Jar Jar, bring it on! Drew Anyone know which day the river opens above the 23 bridge?
  9. Is anyone else getting pumped up to fish this tourney? It can't get here fast enough for me! There are so many ways to catch an eye during this time of year on the St. Louis. The endless possibilities keep me awake at night! Questions, will the fish be spread out or will it be like last year with most of the fish in the top mile of the river? Will last years crankbait patterns be hot again, or will the common bottom bouncer patterns prevail? Will the Northlander ever get out of the Grand Slam jinx? Will the boys from Green Bay teach us another lesson? Will Cheffrey ever beat Drew in the yearly bet? He still owes for last year by the way! Will Hawgeye be able to repeat?( I doubt it)lol! Finally, will anyone be able to bring 4 fish over 25 inches each day? I think it can be done. Some team will have to find an out of the way place or pattern that they have to themselves. I'll guess a winning weight of 42 lbs. Drew

    heater body suit

I have one it works great! Keeps you plenty warm in below zero, handwarmers etc. not needed.
  11. Over kill Ranger? What do you mean? It's just a nice little ship. I had some "Muskey Guys" look at the photos of that fish. They think it was only 45-46 inches, it sure seemed bigger to "walleye guy". I was really hoping that it was a HUGE walleye!Anyhow, great tourney I think fun was had by all. Drew
  12. Hey North if your so sure you can catch the "BIG WALLEYES" , Why don't you show up for the Monday night walleye division? You could take home all of the cash and prizes. Anyway, hope to see everyone on Monday night at Mr D's. Please feel free to contact me with questions, I can always be reached at Re/Max. Also, what kind of info would you like me to share? I am open to just about anything all you have to do is ask.
  13. I guess sitting here and watching this site for a couple of years is not good enough anymore. The ultimate fishing mn voyeur is out of the closet and ready to chat. For those of you that don't know me my name is Andrew Frielund aka Drew. I am one of the founding members of MMTS, tournament director, and 3 time defending champ. We are starting a new division it will be two seperate six week tourneys. The first half will be walleyes only. The second half will be multi species without the small and rough fish. A championship will be held on a Saturday in September, combining all of the top teams from each division. We are still working out the details, but it sounds like fun to me. If you have any questions, fire away. Drew
