What about the bass and muskie openers?

Sure,

I put this post out to see if the bass heads and muskie nuts could get their own countdown to opener and all I get is my feelings hurt. Now the admin has to put a counter out there for me since I feel so bad now. mad.gif

A countdown for Largemouth bass opener?

I have too much respect for ALL fishermen, including the Largemouth guys, to make any comments about how hard it would be to make a countdown out of a Mickey Mouse watch. Nor will I comment about how much easier it would be just to multiply the weeks to Largemouth opener by the number of your top teeth (you might get an odd number, so, for this week only, use as many bottom teeth as needed to get to 10). Nor will I comment that you could countdown the days to opener by counting how many bullheads are left to eat in the freezer...

Nope, ain't gonna make no such comments.... grin.gif

OK, that cuts it. I’m going to my representatives at the state capital and have them pass a law requiring a countdown counter for bass and muskies guys. Heck, they don’t do anything worthwhile over there most of the time anyways……………

OK GJ, I chimed into on the teasing earlier, but I'll happily sign your petition if you'd like me too. What about us "other fisherman", don't we count for anything!

If you're fishing on Vermilion the bass opener is the same as the walleye and pike opener. We have both species, and the largemouth get very little fishing pressure. Most anglers where unaware that we even had them, until the FLW tournament a few years ago.

So why wait for Memorial day weekend, come fish for bass on the 14th of May, on Lake Vermilion.
