I do not own one but have been looking at them pretty hard. I bought a lms-480 last year and now wish that i would have waited a year for this one, it wouldn't have cost me much more.. color is awesome, but not neccessary. my 480 does anything i want it to do, but gps maps and sonar just pops off the screen in color.

You can download demo simulator software from lowrance's HSOforum. They have the lms 332c so you can "play with it" at home on your pc. It has simulation modes that you can simulate gps and sonar capabilities. I am looking at it as well and have had fun playing with it.

The 337 is a dual frequency unit designed for great lakes/ocean fishing. It has a 50/200khz transducer which in shallow water (50 feet or so, and under) will cause problems. It will at times begin reading some crazy depths like 400ft while your just sitting in 20. Yes 2400 watts is plenty of power. Power does two things, It determines depth(2400 will reach 900ft) and it helps with seperation. In colored units power has less of an effect on the seperation than it does on a monochrome unit. The reason being, a monochrome only has 12-16 levels of one color to show detail. A color unit has 256 colors.

Another thing about the 332 that you might find cool is the recording you can do. Its with all the GPS units not just the 332. If you have a card reader and a blank MMC card you can record the sonar readings on the card and then play it back on your computer using the Emulators from the Lowrance web site. Youo can adjust the sensitivity and everything on the recording. And if you see fish, or structure that you drove over and would like to check out, then just hold your mouse cursor over the target(fish, or structure) and it will give you the LAD, LON coordinates.
