jblabsnduck
Opening a can of worms as they say. There have been problems with those decoys and some people get taken care of while other people get the run around.Good luck to you I hope they take care of your problem. All I will say is that Avery will never get another dime out of me.
TV BOY
Is it just me, or do all the decoys seem to be produced at a much lower standard? I like a deal as much as the next guy but it seems like we are getting what we pay for.... "cheap" decoys.

With comments like "You just want free decoys" or "I've had 13 dz and beat the dump out of them and they're not chipping at all". I would personally not bother because I've been beat up there. I would sell your ghg while you can and buy something more durable. Avery has the WORST customer service imaginable.
JerknPerchSD
LOL Matt, I've seen how those great Avery Pro-staffers treat you on waterfowler dot com. Bottom line is these decoys are not meant for "hardcore usage" Mine have fallen apart or broke all in one season. When it gets cold the bases and feet break off. You can watch the paint fly off in front of your eyes. Junk. I learned my lesson about buying a new and cheaper product. I too posted questions on WFC and only got reamed on by the prostaff.live and learn,Andy
MattKeller
Andy. I hear ya man. I have 10 boxes of ghg mallards that are paintless and 16 goose floaters that are right behind them. They were all used less than 5 times but avery refuses to take them back... There are some good guys on the avery pro-staff, but you're right, I was treated like dump by a lot of those guys.Never again....
Rost
East Rush-I still say you post your complaint. This way we all can watch and see what happens. I am not saying Matt and Andy are wrong though. They may indeed have bad service??? I just know that many Avery guys respond on that message board. It would be interesting to see how it turns out. (especially since I am looking at picking up some more dekes before next season)..

MattKeller
goosepimp. Unfortunately that's not the case. I've tried it, my hunting buddies have tried it and we have yet to have 1 thing fixed. Julie was nice, but couldn't or wouldn't do jack for us.

dkhntr
Not to drift off subject here, But didn't this years G&H's have bad paint too? I heard about flaking on them. But my ( SL )Avery's are a bunch of POS's . So bad I could only, barely, use about a dozen out of five dozen. Broke down and bout 2 dozen Flam's because I needed something now and their paint sucked too. I have 1/2 dozen flams from 10 years ago and paint is still good. So, are ALL deke manufacturer's have bad paint. year?
Labby
GHG decoys are junk! I ahd a dozen full bodys 1 time out the cold 3 broken feet 2 busted heads Luckily I got em from Cabellas and they took em backthey do look great out of the box thoughLab
Flipnripem
Yep, I jumped in head first. Bought two dozen full bodies and a dozen shells. I ended up returning the worst 12 full bodies and bought some big foots. Labby your right they are sweet out of the box. I do not recommend them unless your going to store them individually and treat them like gold. Then mabey you can keep them in good shape. The thing that gets me is, Foiles promotes them and I would think it would tarnish a guys respectability to a point. I agree that I would use them if I could replentish the stock whenever they went to pot, but wouldn`t give my hard earned cash for another dozen. Stick with a more durable decoy. JerknPerchSD
Foiles is a moron anyway. Shows absolutely no respect for the bird when you shoot one 3 to 5 times on the way down, even though is completely dead anyway. Pretty tough to eat with 95 pellets in it. I can about guess where most of his birds end up in the first place.
TrapMan13
No offense intended but ahh... What decoys do u guys like... over the course of me having a login name on here I have heard you guys bash about every decoy out there... I was just wondering what the perfect decoy is then if everything else is junk... i have 1 doz GHGs and I love them and abuse the $h!t outa them and they have all there paint and i have had no problems with anything on them although I prefer my "Hardcore Decoys" over them hands down I still find no reason to bash them on here... If your gonna waste time typing how much u hate them and wahts wrong with them why dont u just write to the company and mabey if enough people write in w/ compaints they will change it or refund u... No harm intended.. It just kinda gets me irritated seeing every decoy on the market bashed... Have a good day!
JerknPerchSD
I only bashed GHG, I believe that nobody bashed any other brands. I own several dozen GHG which all went to heck so I have a free ticket to complain. I also own lots of hardcores which nobody on here ever complained about and you will never hear a complaint from me. Contacting Avery is worthless and will only give you a headache
East Rush Rules
Hey, Jerknperch hit that one on the nail. The only bad deek ive ever had were these ghg fullbodies. I am just giving you consumers a notice before you waste your money on these types of things! Stick with the bigfoots, much better deek!Korey
MattKeller
I think that I've had some trouble with just about every brand out there over the years (except for BF's and G&H). The difference is how the companies handled it. If you would like to be harassed by pro-staff after "wanting free decoys", go with GHG. Hey, when all these companies make thousands of decoys, there are going to be some duds. BUT atleast stand behind your product when things go bad. (GHG???) If you have a day, I could share my horror stories with you concerning GHG BUT I would just go with any decoy company but them. That's my opinion. mwktrapper
Hey Matt, You wanna go catch some big brookies? Rollz has been getting them up to 15-16 inches through the ice. It'll bring back some good Bighorn memories. As for the decoys, don't get me started. GHG makes a nice looking decoy out of the box, but what good is that if they only last through one hunt. Wait, mine didn't even make it through the first hunt. We talked in a different subject about meat hogs that kill to kill - Foiles is one of those guys. If you watch his videos, like Andy said, they will shoot at the bird several times after it has been shot and falling. Some of his hunts, you don't even know how many guys are in the blind. He cares about killing and that's about it. He doesn't show a passion for the hunt, just the kill. Most decoy companies you write about defects in their decoys will give you new decoys or do something to help you out. Instead, Avery seems to care less. They don't understand how much their terrible customer service is hurting them.
MattKeller
Mike. Uh, big brookies, ummmm, well, duh. When are we going? Is it a morning or evening bite? I could maybe run over saturday. I'm gonna cook my a few over a nice fire...
