passtheleeches
4 years ago I moved out of Minnesota and have been missing it ever since. Going from fishing weekly down to a couple long trips up north here and there, sure takes a toll on a fishermen. Reading reports and banter from lakes and areas that are very familiar to me is fantastic to say the least. This is a great forum and I am looking forward to being a part of it.Thanks! klbowe
I know where you are coming from. When I was young I took a job in Illionis and spent the next ten years homesick for Minnesota. I missed many weekends of fishing and hunting with the relatives. Not to mention family events. Time and events that I can't back.People and time both pass quickly. Do what you have to do but obey your heart.

passtheleeches
Eden Prairie was home for many years. I have about another year and a half left in Iowa, then hopefully up to Duluth. I can't wait. I figure as long as I am relocating again, it may as well be all the way up. Well, Duluth is not all the way up... but close enough!!Thanks for the many welcomes. passtheleeches
Fubar,I am in Dubuque, lived in Iowa City when I was in school. At least I am on the ol' Mississippi. I am about a 9-10 hour road trip away from Ely. I spent a week up there in October. Had some nice fishing and weather that week. Being 10 hours away kind of reduces the number of quick weekend trips that I used to make when I lived in the cities. I haven't fished Mille Lacs for about 4 years... never in my life would I imagine that I would be making that statement.Northlander,Thanks for the offer, I will probably take you up on that in about a year or so.The Ice Series Events look like an absolute great time, can't wait to start going to some of them.
