Fish Bright Lantern Reflectors

I just threw on my fishbright on my standard coleman and used it for the first time last night. Great product, it really helps put the light where you need it.

They are available at L&M Fleet here in Bemidji.

just got mine to day love it but when puting the green top back on over the fish bright the thumb screw on top beraly goes on u have to put alot of presure on the green top to make the screw come threw the hole is this a normal problem? and does it fit in the hard side cases with it on i have one of those soft side green cases and it dont fit i think i might have to get a hard sided case if they fit so do they fit?

Duffy you may have the wrong Fishbright for your lantern. E-mail me what type you have and what Fishbright you have and Ill see. Some do fit tight but you should be able to get the top on no problem. Maybe bend your tabs up a bit? [email protected] Depending on what case you have it should fit. I have a dual mantle with electric start that runs on a 1 pound tank. It has the short maroon plastic case and mine fits in it great. My taller narrower case works but I really have to sqeeze it in there. I have a question maybe you can answer me about the fish bright reflectors. I have a small 2 man portable clam jr.I usually don't hang my light just set it on the floor. will this cone out far enough sitting on the floor to see all the holes or would I have to hang it?

The light will project out plenty far for a house that size. However if you could get your lantern even a foot off the floor the Fish Bright will work more efficiently.

I found that I had to remove the handle from my propane w/elect lantern to get it to fit into the maroon case with the fishbright installed. No biggie.

Thats weird I have the same lantern and case I think and mine fits fine. My problem with that case is the thumb screw never seems to get into that little knobby deal on the top so we just cut it off and left a hole about the size of a nickel. It works much easier now and you dont have to worry about that hot thumbscrew melting into the top of the case cover. Maybe you got the wrong FishBright? Did you get the standard FishBright? Logon648, could you please post here when you get the ones for the little compact lanterns ready to ship. I think I have to have one of them. Of course now I will have to modify my custom built lantern case.

How is your handle sitting when you put it in the case? does it lay on top on the fishbright and the case still fits over it? I dont seem to have the knobby problem your having.

I got mine a couple days ago and it wouldn't fit

I called Jay and he sent me a new one with longer tabs and the thing works great !!!!!

It is still real tight but I think I can bend the tabs for a little more length.

If it were not for this site I would still be fishing in the dark

Me and Mrs Hopper used it again last night and I canot say how happy we are with this product. We just put it on a bucket in the portable and god said 'let there be light' and then there was light! it really lights up your ice busters also! It makes them stand out in a dark hole!

Just got both the lantern and Fish Bright. Thank goodness for this site. Referred to it several times on getting the reflector on. Feel pretty stupid after i saw a the pic closer... My handle does not fit on the lantern in the case. I can live with that

Some of the cases are to narrow for the FishBright to fit in and let the handle lay down. I suggest a shorter wider case but I realize thats not always apropriate. The fishbright in my opinion is worth the few minutes to let cool and take off before putting in a case. I still cant believe I didnt come up with this idea. Jay how about a 70-30 split?

I have a question. I was on the soderbloom web site looking at the fishbright lantern reflectors. how do you tell which one you need. the pics for the different ones are all of the same lantern.I have an old colman propane twin mantel with electronic ignition. I think it was when they frist came out with electronic igniton. it has the seperate igniton knob on the side.

I found out last weekend there is no way I could hang my lantern in my portable and see the floor.Also does anyone know what the shipping charges will be for it off the HSOforum? I tried to find it but couldn't.

I used my Fish Bright for the first time Sunday night. Great product. I considered buying rope lights this year and now glad I didn't. Can't beat the gas lantern to light up a portable.
