Shouldn't be much said this week.

Down to Earth

After watching pathetic performances by both the Vikes & the Pack this week. Not too much can be said towards the other. Sure we can debate on who sucked worse, but lets face it both teams played no better than a high school team today. Actually I'm not sure if the Packers played at all. Hopefully both can get back on track next week. Though I may have to agree with the announcers during the Packer game, in that you might as well give the Eagles the NFC title, cause no one is close to playing at their level. It will have to take a rare down game for the Eagles and a near flawless game by the opponent. Its obvious both the Vikes or Pack isn't capable of that and Atlanta isn't as good as their record shows either.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with you. Today was a sad day for all fans in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Neither team looked as if it belonged in the playoffs, and should either of them make it, they are likely to lose and go home in the first round.

I agree neither team is any good and will have almost no chance if either makes it into the playoffs.

However I did watch the "classiest team in football" and was a bit baffled by this especially by 2 players. Harris constantly blabbing after every play after he had given up a td 11 or so catches for 150+ yds. My favorite was a 3rd and 14 or so and gives up a 16yd play and then gets up dancing.

Barnet after being down by 35 makes a tackle and acts like he just scored 35 pts. Joe buck says "hey nick what are you celebrating you are down 35 pts". Then later makes a tackle after allowing a long run is jabbering at the Philly sideline.

The viking are just as big of idoits but both Viking fans and Packer fans can see it. I just thought I would point this out to Packer fans.

I was dissapointed that Philly didn't get to 50.

Two times in NFL history a QB has thrown 5td passes in the first half, both were this year against the Pack.

Yeah, it was pretty brutal. Philly did leave their starters in till the 4th quarter, though. Guess maybe they thought their BCS ranking would go up. Even the world's worst announcer (Collinsworth and Aikman) were making comments.

One thing is for certain though, Both teams and fans got a huge steaming plate full of humble pie this weekend.

I don't think anyone said he was the greatest ever but he is playing pretty good this year. If Manning didn't have 70 td passes (5 in 1st half against Pack) you would be hearing more about the great year he is having. His play yesterday is not the only reason we lost. At least he put his team in a position to win.

Culpeper is playing much better than the benched Favray. That seperation will only get greater as Favray gets older and Culpeper gets more exp and a better defense.

I believe the streak is over. That is how huge of a competitor Bret Favray is, he puts his teams success ahead of his own personal records, WOW what a competitor.

No comments on my take of the "claissiest team in football" or didn't any of that happen in packerland.

Are you guys forgetting that we almost beat Philly in Philly and we played like dump. The Vikings are very inconsistent but when they are good they are great, and anything can happen once the playoffs roll around. It's only one game. What we need is Tice to chest bump all the players to get us going.

Yeah, Harris and Barnett's actions were ridiculous. In fact I believe that all football players should be penalized for antics like that, just like in college. A coach told me one time to act classy like you've done it before, not showboat. It must be hard to keep a roster full of egos in control.

You also really got us Packer fans with the Favre competitor comment. Good call, the guy had the second longest streak in NFL history. That sure is one to rip on.

I think it would be wise for you to step out of your Vikings Biodome once in a while and take of your Purple tinted glasses. Also don't get in a mud throwing contest when you're wearing a white shirt.

I am wearing a white shirt.

I have only watched about 3 or 4 viking games this year, I've opted for hunting and fishing. I still want them to win but I can take em or leave em. Call me a bandwagoner or whatever you like, watching someone else play football is entertaining and I will always like the Vikings but there are plenty of better ways to ruin a sunday.

As far as Farves streak, someone asked a question and I answered it. I just like it that he got benched.

In every game the Packers have played this year I just could not believe when they actually won some of them in the end. They have a secondary defense that any half way decent High School quarterback could pick apart. It is as bad as any I have ever seen. It is pretty embarrassing for our division that they are tied for first place.

    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
